MY JOURNEY TO THE MOUNTAINS (My first mountain climbing experience) | Part 1

in #travel7 years ago (edited)

Happy weekend to all of my fellow steemians! The mountains are calling me and I would like to share my first trekking and camping experience in Cebu 💕⛰

I would like to share my inspiration for pushing me to do this activity. This was my previous blog about how I featured a trekking team in Cebu it states what it takes to be a trekker and they shared their great adventure. You can read their story by clicking the link here below: ⬇️

We had our trekking at Mt. Kan irag in Busay, Cebu City Philippines ⛰We started travelling at 2pm from the city.

We rode a motorcycle in going to the toe of the mountain. The weather was bad because it rained the day before our activity and there are still light rain showers that afternoon.

The path way up the mountain was very muddy and slippery ⚠️ and it was very narrow. We experienced several falls and we tripped in the mud but we never stopped climbing until we have reached the top.

While were climbing up, we can't see the path because the place had fog all over. We couldn't take photos because we had a hard time while going up.

After a few minutes, we finally went up to the mountain and met some of the campers in there. We put up our tent and still can't view the lower view of the city. We slept for a few hours from our very long way of trekking up in the mountain.

When it was night time, the skies were clear and I couldn't believe what we have seen that night.

It was the city lights of Cebu City. I can see how the lights sparkle that night.

Now I have realized that the best things are always at the top. Being at the top may not be easy, it has struggles and challenges but it's all worth it.

But theres more! This is only the first part of my trekking adventure ⛰🤗 The day 2 of my journey will be up on my next article.

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed my story. I can't wait to share to you the second part of my adventure.

Be careful with bikes on slippery surfaces... Otherwise, good work!

Thank you and I am looking forward for more mountain climbing adventures soon!
