This weekend, I travelled up to Savannah, Georgia, just to get away for a few days. While there, I stopped at the Wormsloe Historic Site, which in itself contained beautiful sites, as well as information on a revolutionary era history I was not familiar with. The first few photos I captured were of the entrance, which in itself is like a scene from a movie.

As we ventured along the trail, we came across an old time house, where colonists once lived.

Further down the path, we came along a fallen tree that has been referred to as the Red Cedar tree. Bare, yet full of beauty.

If you continue down the path, you will come across what is referred to as the Tabby Ruins, which was the location of a home of Noble Jones, one of the first settlers and the owner of the land.

The next shot is of the floor plan for what was once the home, and now is ruins. Run-down locations where homes once stood was apparently commonplace for that era, for settlers would take walls from one home in order to build newer or multiple homes for others in their community.

The last shots are from the museum at the entrance to the historical site.

As you can see from my reaction, I had a blast learning new things and seeing stuff from our nation's history and I believe all who visit would as well.
