Day 2: Alright guys hope you all enjoyed your first day/night in Lucerne and my recommendations. So for day 2 of your stay we will be doing something not exactly in Lucerne but in a town called Engelberg not too far away. The purpose of traveling to Engelberg is to take a trip up to Mount Titlis! I`m recommending this activity because it is just flat out an incredible experience and well worth the estimated 4-6 hours out of your day. *Be sure to bring a jacket and dress for the cold
First off you will need to walk back over to the Hauptbahnhof (Train Station) and purchase a train ticket to Engelberg roughly around lets say 10 Swiss Francs. There will be a handful of short stops along the way for hikers and should take about 45 minutes to arrive in Engelberg. Once you arrive in Engelberg you have the option of either walking about 10 minutes to the base of the mountain or taking a shuttle bus. Once you are at the base you have the options depending on the season of course of going skiing/snowboarding or taking the Rotair Gondola to the top of the mountain as it spins around giving you a panoramic view of the Alps. *Cost roughly around 100 Swiss francs for the trip up and back down.
Once atop the mountain where there is endless snow you will have most sunning views of the alps and actually able to see a handful of different countries in the distance. At the top there are multiple activities such as the Glacier cave, walking across a suspension bridge, tubing, and multiple shops inside the building at the top as well. After a few hours of activities and playing in the snow it is time to head back down on the gondola and catch your train back to Lucerne. After an eventful day at the top of Mount Titlis you can just sit back and relax around town or if you have the energy and are up for take another trip up to Mount Pilatus which you can see directly across the lake. Tickets can be bought at the tourist information center inside the Hauptbahnhof (Train Station). Hope you enjoy your second day in Lucerne!!
Look for my next post about something incredible that happened atop the mountain while I was there as well!

Cool, I just Steem'd about Switzerland. Have you visit Aeschi Bei Spiez yet? It's pretty close to Lucerne.
Have not yet! Just to Lucerne, Engelberg, and Zurich. Definitely plan on exploring more of the countryside towns in the future though
