Dian Al-Mahri Mosque, also known as The Golden Domes Mosque, located in Depok city, West Java, Indonesia. The build started in 2001 and finished in the end of 2006. It's started open for public in December 31st 2006. The building of this mosque founded by Hj. Dian Djuriah Maimun Al Rasyid, an entrepreneur from Banten province, Indonesia.
The mosque occupying for 50 hectare land, and the mosque building itself length of 60 x 120 meters or about 8.000 meters square. More or less, it had space that enough for 20.000 people. This mosque area often called as one of the the grandest in South East Asia.
It has 5 domes above, 1 the main dome (biggest) and 4 small domes. What made this domes magnificent is because all of them covered of gold with 2-3 milimeters thickness. There is also a big chandelier that brought directly from Italy inside.
Beside as a place for pray, this mosque also become one of a place for religious tourism, there are a lot of facilities such as departmen store, restaurant, food stalls, boutique, lodging, multipurpose building, auditorium, and souvenir store.
The souvenir store sold many interesting items, some of them are mugs, pins, clothes, wallet, watch, plate, and many more. Don't worry if you want to capture your precious moments in this beautiful place, there are a lot of photographers offering you their service.
