Once the capital of the largest Hindu kingdom, Hampi is where the brothers Hakka and Bukka founded the Vijayanagar Empire. Monolithic charoits, sprawling elephant stables, stunning temples, sculptures of Gods, all made of stone and spread over two kilometer trail across the town.

Besides monuments, there is much to do in Hampi. New adventure activity for Indians, Hampi has been touted to be largest bouldering area in the world by the many foreign tourist that flock here year after year.

The mountains comprises the UNESCO worlds heritage site, the site has about 1600 monuments and covers 41.5 sq kilometers. It is said that every turn here has a monument which has its own age old history. The sunset at Hampi is a soothing experience - the colors of dusk mesmerizing the rocks..!

The home for the King's Royal Elephants, The Elephant Stable is a exquisite structure built in 15th century, wonderfully displaying the level of craftsmanship during the contemporary times.
