North Berwick offered the perfect antidote to the overwhelming crowds in Edinburgh. With two beautiful beaches providing plenty of seaside charm, it is the perfect place to spend a day in the Scottish sun (which sometimes happens). I asked my Victoria if she wanted to take a day trip, but she wasn’t sure where North Berwick was. Not to be confused with Berwick Upon Tweed in Northern England, North Berwick is a pleasant train journey about 30 minutes east of Edinburgh. When we arrived, it was 26 degrees Celsius, so we made our way to a seesaw of colourful boats at the harbour. Lucky for us it was a weekday and the beaches were not crammed full with families.
