Trip to Munnar and Thekkary (Kerala) !!!

So after visiting Kochi, we drove to Munnar which is a hilly area in Kerala, India.

I wasn’t expecting such a hilly place in South India! Munnar is amazing but only after November.

My 2 days in Munnar were a complete waste because of the rainfall. The views are what one should see there and they were all covered by the clouds !!

By the way, these above are tea plantations all across the Munnar hills.

Luckily I got this picture with no clouds photobombing in the background ! LOL

Then we went to the rose garden! It was BEAUTIFUL!! But again, rain destroyed it

I wasn’t able to click so much pictures of the flowers because of the rain, but this plant grabbed my attention !! Look at those standing flowers I found those really funny .

Here I am in my hotel room’s balcony on the next day all set to drive to THEKARRY !!

Since we weren’t able to click much photos the previous day, I tried to compensate it all in the balcony

After that we went to the spice garden of Perriyar, where I saw this weird looking plant !!

I came across these coco trees !! Yes, the ones from which chocolate is made !!

And coffee beans here :-

Then we went to do Elephant Safari but it wasn't worth it as they only make you sit and roam around for just a 15 minute round.

But those Elephants were really cute. :*

We actually also went for Jeep Safari but again !! Rain !! So I do not have any picture of that. Though it was useless. I would suggest that if you ever visit there, never go for the Jeep Safari. They will make you roam halfway in the town which we already did on our way and then will take you in a forest which wasn't a forest actually but just a hilly area with trees around which we already saw everywhere else :/.

On the way I saw these rubber trees. People tie a container below these polypags which can be seen in the pictures to collect rubber.

So that was it. Our 3 days in Munnar and Thekarry were all ruined by rain and greedy tourism industry. I won't recommend anybody to go to Thekkary as there isn't anything worth having a look there. Munnar is good but as I said, only after November.
