Rue Crémieux is located between rue de Lyon and rue de Bercy.

This place gives the impression that we are outside of Paris, somewhere in a small Provincial town or in a French seaside resort.
Unlike the adjacent rue de Lyon, there are no Haussmann style buildings here.
The 35 identical houses that border the street look like English terraced cottages.
The residents are proud of their street and have ensured that it is well maintained.
It was the residents’ initiative to paint their façades with gentle pastel colours: green, blue, purple, yellow, pink…

Cherry Blossom Avenue
Bonn, Germany

Although most people think of Japan when they hear the words ‘cherry blossom festival’, you’ll find impressive pink blossoms all over the world. In my opinion, some of the most picturesque and romantic blooms can be found on Heerstrasse, also known as the Cherry Blossom Avenue in Bonn, Germany. Think of it: those beautiful pink boughs spreading over old cobblestone streets… If that’s not worthy of a stroll with a loved one, I don’t know what is! And if you stop to take a few photos along the way, you won’t be the first person to do so.

When should I go?
The exact dates for the bloom vary from year to year, but they usually happen sometime in April. Unlike some blooms, which may only happen for a few days, the Bonn cherry blossoms tend to linger for two or even three weeks. Check the festival’s website for the latest news regarding blooms, as well as photos from previous years.
