The biggest draw backs about booking a holiday is the price, so anything that can slightly reduce it down is key!
Today, I have two different websites that can help you find the best priced flight (and even hotels/villas/car rental)
I recently booked a last minute holiday to join my two friends in greece and desperately needed a cheap flight. I can tell you now I was not going direct to any companies!
The first website is SkyScanner
All you have to do is input your flight details and it'll find you the cheapest flight out of all the possible companies and routes and shows you it in under 30 seconds!
Heres an example of in a few days time a round trip to Ibiza! You can also select whether you want any stops to reduce the price and what time you want to leave or return.
Skyscanner also has the option to look for hotels and car hire, and you can change the currency to suit yourself.
The second website does the same as SkyScanner and more! Its called Kayak .
Here you can do the same as sky scanner, but can also find the cheapest holiday all together, as well as villas rather than just hotels.
Just so you can compare, here is the same example as sky scanner but searched on Kayak..
I like that it has their advice i.e. if they've seen it cheaper or its a good time to buy. But there are a lot more ads and it seems a bit more full/busy on the page.
However, the thing I like the most about Kayak is the explore page.
Sometimes you're not sure on where you want to travel to, but you know your dates or your departing airport (hopefully!). This section will show you a range of places in the surrounding areas that are within a certain budget that you can alter yourself. Its great if you just want to find the cheapest flights possible and you're not fussy! For example, on the 5/9 - 6/9 you can go to Amsterdam for 110 GBP!
As someone who loves travelling but is also a student on a budget, these kinds of websites were a great find for me and have been used many times in the past two years. So if they can help you as much as they helped me- enjoy your holiday!
thanks for sharing
Oh! That's cool! Thanks :)
