While the most important element in measuring welfare level was the amount of money, the institute considered 104 variables when preparing this list. These variables range from the number of people working full time on domestic gross domestic product to the number of secure internet hosts to daily rest hours for people. These variables are divided into 8 sub-headings; economic quality, business environment, supervision, individual freedoms, social capital, assurance, education, health. 149 countries that provided the most accessible data were evaluated.
