Beautiful Amsterdam

So, the morality police want to label Amsterdam as a city of sin. I don't think these people get out the house very often. Amsterdam is a beautiful city as can be seen by the beauty of the photographs you included in this post. As an established European city with a rich history it is easy to pick and choose what you don't like while maligning this city. However for each critic there is someone willing to mention the positive things about Amsterdam.

The hippys of the 1960 -1980 simply added a flavor to Amsterdam. Any subculture is viewed with slight disdain by those feeling their traditional way of life is threatened, but thank goodness for common sense. Levels of accommodation don't occur overnight but they do occur.

Amsterdam has made the most of its reputation by embracing the tourist trade which encompasses those seeking hedonistic pleasures and those seeking a place to bring the family. A historical background, freedom of choice, and an accommodating mentality seems to be Amsterdam's mantra. Just my thoughts, Ron.
