A new day, a new trip, a new amazing place in the Apuseni Mountains, Romania. 🗾
This time, we continue our story with another waterfall discovered in this part of Romania, called Pătrăhăițești Waterfall. 🌊
On the way to the waterfall, we stopped at the Pătrăhăițești Museum to take a break from our journey, where we've met an old woman who was more than glad to welcome us and give us directions how to reach the waterfall. She even made us some coffee and presented some handmade crafts made by her. It was a pleasure meeting this woman and I noticed that any locals we where asking for different directions, were more than happy to help us. 🗻
The waterfall is 1,5 km away from the museum, so after we rested enough, we continue our trip enjoying the great weather and the beautiful landscapes that nature offers us. 😇
After 2hours spent on the way, we are finally here - in front of this majestic waterfall which creates a loud sound when the water is hitting the rocks. 😲
The waterfall has about 12m height and is flowing in two stages. There is nothing more beautiful than resting on a rock or a log watching the beauty of the nature. Or wait.. (stupid idea alert) 😥
I've always wanted to explore the nature to the maximum. So why not climbing the waterfall and watch it flowing from above? 👀
From here I can feel better the cold water drops which are splashing from the waterfall.. the fresh breathing of the mountains.. even the sound of the waterfall is more familiar now. ☯
If you haven't done this before, you really have to try it! It's totally worth it and you will see that you are feeling different after all! In a good way, of course! 😄

Great story! That waterfall is spectacular. Whenever we're out hiking, and we see signs for waterfalls I always think to myself "it's just another fall... not a big deal. lets skip it".. but when we don't just skip it, and we go check it out, I'm never disappointed. The power of water falling downward is always super impressive -- especially the roaring noise that it can make when it's a big volume of water that's moving.
Thanks for sharing!
I totally agree! And none of them are alike. Each one of them are special in their own way and I love that! Thanks for stopping by! ❤️
Great post! Really.nice place again, the trees, waterfall, the climbing... :-)
And the post has a good balance between text and images, it mixed information of the route with things that happened (how was the coffe?), smiling photo, zen description (you know it is my perfer part),...

It's a great experience that you met locals who helped you especially the lady who was so hospitable to even prepare you coffee! They add more meaning to our travel experience.
I also love waterfalls even if they can be challenging and slippery to climb. Beautiful photos! 😍
