No we didn't unfortunately - we did get down as far south as Ushuaia which would have been our best chance of seeing them, but I think we were a bit out of season. Seems March-September is the best time. Have you seen them?

Nope, and sorry for the late response - still learning how this works :)(
I was chasing Aurora Borealis in Norway - unlucky tho. Suns activity was too low at that moment. But one of my dearest friends happened to be in Reykjavik few years ago when it happened, she organized the chase to the nearest darkest place outside the Reykjavik - from her stories it is incredible experience! :)
