The next leg of our travels started by us leaving the hotel at 4:00 AM to catch the shuttle to the DFW airport. We were tempted to catch a few more Zzz and get the 5AM shuttle, but I'm glad we didn't as we probably would've missed our first flight!
On the plane from DFW to Miami with our morning breakfast served...
Arriving in Miami...
We already had a 5 hour layover in Miami....
...but that was greatly extended as our first plane was changed due to maintenance issues....finding creative ways to sleep 😕
...and then that plane was held up for another 2 hours for an maintenance check...
...things got a little silly as we were on such little sleep....
But we finally got on the plane and things started looking better with a mimosa in hand before takeoff! American Airlines is fantastic!
We had a wonderful flight from the US to Italy! The food was actually delicious and we both enjoyed many movies, games, music...though unfortunately we were both having so much fun on the plane that we didn't get much needed sleep!
Next stop....Milan!!
