The recuperation from our adrenaline rush rafting a 7m waterfall we had to recuperate for the next day but that did not mean sitting still.
We visited Wai-O-Tapu another of the famous geothermal parks and the location of the Lady Knoxx Geyser
I will put on a clip of the geyser going off when I am back home through Dtube but the hostel wifi’s does not really allow those big uploads
But i will share with you all the wonderfull colours of the thermal pools. We again had to endure the awful sulfur smell but by then it really wasn’t that bad anymore. I guess we kinda got used to it.
And then to the despair of my better half we came across the mud pools.
Why despair you say?
Well I got my eye glued to my camera trying my best to record the best mud fart. So imagine me sitting (even laying) on the ground twisting and turning my camera while she is impatiently tapping her foot next to me, waiting till I get my “perfect shot”
And the twist is, in the end I did not manage that “perfect shot” but I did get some cool ones.
Great shots look amazing will have to visit one day. Have family out there so really need to !
Family is an extra rason... this country is so beautifull
I know wish I went when I was in OZ just didn't fall that way. I know I will be back just can't say when !
I actually looked at the photos before reading, so I saw those beautiful thermal waters and I was thinking - guy is probably hiding the fact that they stink!!!!
Cool that you didn't hehe.
Cheers!
Hehe, the smell is part of the package, guess you have been there as well
Wow...really interesting to watch... the mud must be very hot right?
Yep, the mud is close to boiling point, the bubbles come from steam
