yup...out of the skillet in the US, into the fire in dominican (heavy on the dominate?) not so much of a republic.
You know...I have heard actually people rumor that dominican means dog of the lord. We are obviously taught differently at school but I wouldn't be surprised. Never heard anyone speak of domination in relation to the name though.
