RE: River of the Dead - The Final Days of the Goldstream Salmon Run

in #travel7 years ago

It was much joy in itself to come across another fellow Steemian living on Vancouver Island! Excellent little post about the situation in Goldstream Park. I really enjoy the pictures as well as the information shared with us.

Often, humans tends to "clean the forest" thinking they are helping the place be tidier, thus allowing us humans to have clearer views of this and that, in our case, the stream itself. It may very well be to the detriment of the fish population to see those trees around the area being cut as well as for the ones that had fallen in the creek to have been cleared for safe passage or a cleaner look.

May the red dress of our salmon still be worn as the years go by, may we learn to help selflessly in this manner. All for one and one for all!

Namaste :)

Yes we need as many BC Steemers as we can muster. The transfer of ocean nutrients to rivers is a wonder that never ceases to humble me.

I can surely share that you aren't the only one and as a group we are stronger in exposing this magnificent process of life. There is, in this case, power in number. All for one and one for all!

Namaste :)

There is so much to do isn't there. I enjoyed this conversation with two fellows of the community. Glad to hear of other concerns beside cryptos and steem.

Well said! Namaste :)
