Hey Steemians! How are you all? I'm so happy to tell everyone that I was in Malaysia yesterday. And if you mention Kuala Lumpur, we think of only 1 known tourist destination, the Petronas Towers.
FYI: It will take 4 hours to travel from Mactan Cebu International Airport to Kuala Lumpur International Airport. For our trip, we took the Air Asia flight. But unlike in Cebu, Kuala Lumpur is way far from the airport more than 40 kilometers. It's like traveling from the Mactan Airport to Naga, Cebu. D ba kalayu! Anyways, we spent another 1 hour from the airport to Kuala Lumpur.
I love the highways of Kuala Lumpur. Their roads are wide and vast. Though it was confusing for first time drivers, thanks to Waze you will never get lost. I think Malaysian drivers are disciplined drivers.
Now back to our main story. For you to get to the city proper, you will need to take either a bus or a train. We opted for the bus and paid 12 ringgit that's around P160. (1 ringgit = P13). It took us an hour to reach KL Central. This is where buses from the airport unload passengers. Then from KL Central, we took another bus ride going to the Petronas.
FYI: According to wikipedia, the famous Petronas Twin Towers are the famous skyscrapers in Kuala Lumpur. It has been an icon in the city for more than 20 years now. The construction started in 1993 and completed 3 years after in 1996. Th 452-m landmark has been the tallest building until 1997 and remain the tallest twin towers in the world. Tower 1 houses the Petronas, a known Malaysian oil and gas company and their associates and other related companies whilethe Tower 2 caters offices for different companies. The towers feature the Suria KLCC, a shopping center inside the building, the KLCC Park located just outside the towers and the skybridge that connects the iconic landmarks.
