SPent a good chank of time by a river yesterday!

It was such a refreshing experience to dip in and just listen to the waves/noise of the river.

Apparently this spot is quite popular here in Madrid. You'd think on a Monday afternoon it would be deserted or have very few people, but turns out there were quite a lot of people. I had fun nonetheless.

📍 El Pardo, Madrid.

El Pardo is a ward (barrio) of Madrid belonging to the district of Fuencarral-El Pardo. As of 2008 its population was of 3,656.

It's also a great place to walk the pets as there are turns of trails.

This particular spot is a national reserve, and is great for hiking, picnics, exercise or just for anyone who wants to be in nature.

I did also happen to spot a few people trying to fish in some parts of the river.

The bridge is not so high, you can sit on it and hang your feet in the water for those that don't like to walk on tones.

The kids come with full on swimming costumes and enjoy playing in the water. It's actually fun to watch them play with the dogs and see how excited they are.

After enjoying the fresh waters. I sat by the side and had a picnic while enjoying the breeze.

It was a much needed break after everything that has been happening out there. It's so draining and sometimes we just need a breather to take it all in.
