MERIDA VIEW FROM THE 3RD STATION, THE CITY IS LOCATED AT A VALLEY
Hi steemians, I wanna share with you some pictures and information about the longest and higher cableway of the world in the city of Merida, Venezuela.
Merida is located at the northwest of Venezuela, it was founded at 1558. Is a small city and it houses a big university called UNIVERSIDAD DE LOS ANDES and many places of great artistic and historical value.
The cableway was built in march 1960 and was closed in 2008 for remodeling and It was open again in march 2016.
It's the longest and higher cableway in the world with 12.5 km length and 4.765 m.a.s.l and it's located inside the national park Sierra Nevada in the Venezuelan Andes.
