I wanted to share another fantastic experience I had during my Thailand journey.
The...Elephant Jungle Sanctuary!!!
This wonderful place is located in Chiang Mai, Thailand. It's a safe and popular destination and you can find many high quality reviews on Tripadvisor. The Elephant Jungle Sanctuary offers a great opportunity for you to meet, feed, bathe, interact and learn everything there is to know about these magical creatures.
The environment is safe and sustainable for the elephants and the elephants are able to freely roam a vast jungle of land. This is not an elephant riding adventure, the Sanctuary wants to create the safest possible environment and this is more of a chance for you to connect with and care for them.
We were lucky to meet one of the most playful 5 month old elephants ever. :D
It's a full day adventure that will provide memories for a lifetime. Please visit!

It really was awe inspiring when you're up close and interacting with them. They are such friendly and gentle giants indeed. These sanctuaries are doing an amazing job helping the abused elephants from the more shady elephant riding tourist programs or abandoned elephants that families cannot provide for.
