This is the Huka Falls in Taupo. It is located very close to Lake Taupo
You can get up close with the falls by using boats
Or you can see it from the viewing points and from the bridge like we did

For me this is beautiful and terrible at the same time! Huge water amount is flowing in there! And boat service is available! You made a nice collection of photography of that scenery! But personally I hate to have a boat trip at that waterfall area!

Thank you theguruasia. Yes we didn't go on the boat because we bruing kids. It's just different experience when using boat. But i would prefer on the bridge

Beautiful pictures. I'm interested in visiting New Zealand someday and will have to add that to my list. I guess it's safe to get in a boat without worrying about going down the falls? :)
Hi gtrplayer. It looks pretty safe to get on boat as they are on the lowest part of the river so no possibility of going down
I was making a joke. I'm sure they wouldn't allow people to get on boats if it wasn't safe to do so. What a beautiful part of the world.

Looks like a nice park. Did you take the boat closer to the falls? Were you sprayed by mist up on the bridge?
No we didn't go on the boat. It takes more than one hour round trip by boat. No mist on the bridge
