Bom dia (tarde, noite…)! Today I would like to show you beautiful views of Bragança city. Bragança is located in north-eastern Portugal, capital of the district of Bragança. It is 255 km northeast of Porto, 515 km from Lisbon and 22 km from the Spanish border.
Firstly, I want to mention, that all photos were made on iPhone SE. So, let’s start.
Before showing you the town itself, I want to begin with the fact, that in Portugal on highways there are special safety ramps uphill. They help drivers, who drives downhill, to stop their car in case of failed brakes.

Well, we are coming up to Bragança. Good weather. Photo is taken from bus.

The bus station in the city looks so.
Bus stop (1).
There was formerly a metre-gauge railway from Bragança to Tua, for connecting trains to Porto. But it was closed in 1991. Instead of trains, now there are buses. Bus trips are rather often, like every 1-2 hours in Porto and are also in many other destinations. You need 3 hours to come to Porto, it costs 14 euros. Also, you can go to Lisbon, it takes 6 hours and costs €24.

The town is not rather big, it is approximately 30-40 km2. There are some panoramic views on Bragança. Last 2 photos are made from the highest city point.
Panorama of the city (5).
As you can see, there is a castle. But for now, I took pictures only of one of the roads to castle and of the view from the castle. In future I will do a better review of this amazing place. Finally the weather is improving.

By the way, I met in the castle the most phlegmatic dog I ever saw.

Well, let’s have the better view on the city.

So, that was the first part of our excursion in beautiful city Bragança. If I will see, this post was interesting for, in the next part I will tell you about the weather (SNOW!), university (one of the main part of the city), unusual monuments and other interestingnesses of the city. And of course, there will more beautiful photos!
