This man is carrying a basket full of bricks in his head. The bricks arrived by boats and are carried to the construction site by a few men walking with these basket on their head. It takes a lot of skills to do the same. Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh.

@mibreit-photo Australian Monday entry:

Wharariki Beach near Farewell Spit in the upper north of New Zealand's South Island is a spectacular location. You have dunes, sea stacks, caves and a beautiful countryside. It's a bit of a drive up there but totally worth it. A caravan park is just 1km walking distance from the beach.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans week #31 – winner announcement!

@marc-allaria Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:

I will soon share an article on this extraordinary meeting made in Maratua Island, still in Borneo. Certainly one of the most important memories in my adventure of diver as much for the meeting with this wall of barracudas as for the very particular diving strategy in a very hectic pass exit. In the meantime I propose this photograph for the photo contest @czechglobalhosts Tuesday - Antarctica + the world's oceans.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – African Wednesday week #31 – winner announcement!

@fjorenca African Wednesday entry:

I have posted before about the White Desert of Egypt. Not too far from that, near the Bahariya Oasis, you can find the contrasting Black Desert of Egypt with its glorious black topped golden mountains popping out of nowhere. The area owes this appearance to ancient volcanoes and the presence of abundant iron ore. I climbed to the top of one of these charcoal peaks to get this incredible view. Doesn't it look like it belongs to another planet?

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – European Thursday week #31 – winner announcement!

@dmytrokorol European Thursday entry:

Often during the road trips, I don't have the perfect conditions for shooting. But I don't mind to take the photos in daylight on an interesting spot, because I don't know where I will be during the sunrise or sunset. Sometimes I don't have much time or possibility to search for the best position and just shoot from the road. And sometimes I just got lucky, like in this case on the road along Lovrafjorden in Norway.

I was looking through the long exposure photos I took during my trip to Sayulita, Mexico last month. I've posted the best ones I took, but then I noticed this one. The second to last day we were there, this yacht parked in the bay near the shore. The people on the boat enjoyed a day of swimming and relaxing here. The following morning, I walked down to the pier to get some photos of the sunrise and the boat was still here. I didn't realize that I got it in frame during one of my shots but I kind of love it here. I also love the flock of birds on the other side of the frame too.

I just love your images from those series Matt. Stunning!

Thanks! Sadly, that's the end of those. But I just went down to Manhattan Beach for some sunset shots. Those photos will be coming next week!

Amazing Antelope Canyon

This is probably the most interesting sculpture in the lower Antelope Canyon and my favorite spot to photograph. Its a large hanging rock formation with a hole carved through the middle of it, Beautiful! Antelope Canyon is located just outside the city of Page in Northern Arizona.

Such an amazing image and fantastic place. Thank you so much for sharing.

This winter I had to travel from San Francisco to LA for my flight back to Europe. I knew Highway 1 is closed, but I decided to drive on it as far as I can. This is the last point I reached for the sunset. Although I had to drive a lot of miles back for the detour I don't regret my decision. This place was magical and I have never seen a waterfall on a beach before. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Wow, what a view. I would love to be on that beach right now.

I would love to be back there, too :)

A sunset from last summer taken in the near by Elk Island's Astotin Lake in Alberta. A grand-father and grand daughter duo were waiting patiently for me to take my pictures to go watch the sunset on the floating doc. I thought they would be a good addition to my picture instead of them waiting.

What a beautiful sunset. It looks so calm and peaceful!

I've been to Yosemite National Park twice, but both were rushed trips due to work constraints. Next time I hope to get up into the mountains and out onto the trails to check out what else it has to offer. Either way, the valley is pretty spectacular.

Thank you so much for your contribution and wonderful entry. Great click!

Winter has finally giving up its grip here in Northern BC! Today it hit 23 C (73 F) ! This shot captures the last bit of light as it hits some particularly rocky sections of the Canadian Rockies a few hours west of us in Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada

Awesome shot.

What a stunning image. Great job.

Talking about a canyon in the USA, everyone is talking about the Grand Canyon. But there are a lot of amazing canyons which aren't that crowded, for example the Canyon de Chelly with its spectacular Spiderrock.
More information about our USA roadtrips will follow next week ;)

Such an amazing shot. I have been wanting to make it to the Grand Canyon for so long. Shots like these are what is keeping it on my list of places to visit. Great job.

This isn't the Grand Canyon. It is the Canyon de Chelly, which is also in Arizona ;)

What an amazing place that is. I was lucky enough to fly over it in helicopter couple of years ago. That must have been one of the most amazing things I have done. Thank you for bringing back some great memories. Tomas

I am sure about that. Changing the perspective and seeing the Canyon from the air must be amazing. Must give you another impression of the real size of this wonder of nature.

The golden city of Anchorage, Alaska at sundown. This was home for my first 15 years of life. Surrounded by mountains, even across the inlet behind me. Stunning views. I love this city. And what you see on the shore is not sand, but mud. When the tide rolls out it reveals the "mud flats" which on some days can extend all the way out to Fire Island off the coast.

Stunning image and great entry. Thank you so much for sharing with all of us. Tomas

This beautiful photo was taken on the island of Oahu in between Kaneohe and North Shore. The bay is very calm due to a large grouping of reef that enclose the bay which makes it perfect for a boating or fishing. The island of Oahu is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been and this picture just shows a slice of what it offers.

Thank you so much for your participation. Kindly stay tuned for the winner announcement coming later on today.

I had never really wanted to visit Mount Rushmore, but I was only a couple of hours away so I figured I would go. It was really great and the heads are beautifully illuminated at night.

south_dakota_rushmore_night_all_four_reduced1.jpg

That sure is a spectacular place and looks amazing at night.

When you come to Provincetown, you might find this awesome view on Cape Cod Bay. In the middle of the pic, on a range of water and sky, you can see tiny white something. That’s the Long Point Light, which is on the very tip of Cape Cod.
Ahoj!

Photo of the Biosphère in Montreal (Quebec, Canada). It is a gigantic geodesic dome of 76 meters of diameter and 62 meters high. It was built in 1967 for the World Fair. Now days it houses a museum dedicated to the environment.

Up at the top of California's Sierra Nevada, severing the connection between two climbers as safety is reached. The sky is the limit with glacially-scoured peaks all around and smooth granite underfoot. No clouds, no stress, enjoy the view. Is there anything more beautiful than nature?

Fascinating view of Niagara Falls.. Meeting of green and blue.. Tones of water go down in this falls and because of the speed and quantity, the falling water go up. It presents you this magical foggy view. The voice of fall is also so powerful.

Chichen Itza is probably the most prominent example of Mayan architecture and was named one of the new seven world wonders. It receives a lot of tourism, but I made it inside before the tour buses arrived and was able to get this photo of the uncrowded pyramid with only very little Photoshop help!

01-jpp-20151218.jpg

It is rare to see it without other people. I can't wait to visit this place and see it in real life. Great capture.

Thanks! It wasn't entirely empty so I had to photoshop it a little ;)

One of the best spots to watch the beautiful and colorful skyline of Vancouver is from Stanley Park. It is really stunning after sunset when all the buildings start to glow like christmas trees...

In 2016 we made a road trip through the West of USA. Starting in Phoenix to LA, San Francisco, Yosemite, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon back to Phoenix.
It's always with a special feeling when I cross the Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco. All the memories of movies and series come back to live.

St Lucia Souffriere (9).jpg

St Lucia, souffriere. We had a two weeks sailing trip around the Caribean. Every night it was a surprise in which bay we had to stay for the night. This was one of the best places. Nice sunset and barbecue at the beach. I will never forget.

This is Tumbleweeb, the famous longhorn steer from Luckenbach, Texas. The horns of the Texas Longhorn can grow to over 180 cm from side to side, offering a magnificent sight and photo opportunity.

One of the most famous spots in chicago is the bean. I had a lot of luck with this picture, there were not many people early in the morning. perfect for a panorama;)

Beautiful nature photography!

Here is my entry. I hope, I’m not to late...
This photo was taken in a beautiful state of Colorado, not far from Crested Butte. Crested Butte is famous town, Americans from all over the states like to visit the skiing resort and of course there are mountains for hiking and climbing in summer. There is a lot of lakes in the area and a lot of trees and flowers. I can understand why some people choose to retire there.

I took this picture while touring the hacienda of Sotuta de Peon in the Yucatan, Mexico. We watched as stacks of henequen leaves were deposited into the machine, which broke them and “combed” the fiber out of the plant’s flesh.

I think you forgot to add the picture. You may still have time to add it before @czechglobalhosts stops by and reviews all the submissions.

Double Rainbow Above Downtown Truckee(1).jpg

This double rainbow was shot in the town where I live - Truckee, California USA. I love this town and the community that lives here. It's filled with amazing people living out their dreams in the mountains. Shot using a polarizing filter to bring out the color of the rainbow a bit more.

More info about the image on This Post.

I believe I entered the contest properly here but please let me know if there is somewhere else I am supposed to post the images. Thank you!
