Hello fellow Steemians!

Your entries need to be submitted by the midnight of Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. The rule number one is to use only personal images. Ten winning photos will receive an upvote from me from which I will pick one winner that will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts.

The winner of daily challenge then competes against winners from other continental challenges of the respective week to receive the price of 20 SBD. That will be decided by you based on the dollar value of upvotes of my winning post announcement. The winning weekly picture then automatically enters other rounds for the price of 200 SBD in total.

Please see the winners of the previous contests of the week and give them your support if you like their images to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. You can vote for them by upvoting the winner announcement posts below:

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Asian Sunday week #17 – winner announcement!

@narchuk Asian Sunday entry:

At the Philippines I go to dive, most of the day I spend in the water or on a boat. Do not forget the night dive. As a result, I have very little time for sunrises and sunsets.
This time we returned from diving, and I watched the sun go down into the ocean. It happened at the moment when the boat hit the shore. I had to jump right into the water together with the underwater box. I did not have time to get another camera.
I was lucky. In addition to the beautiful sunset, I saw a turtle swimming alongside. A few minutes before it was dark, we swam together.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #17 – winner announcement!

@mibreit-photo Australian Monday entry:

Here's my favorite photo from New Zealand. I took it a year ago in Tongariro National Park. It was quite cloudy as we arrived in the Park and we couldn't see the peaks yet. But I hiked to Tama Lakes anyways, hoping for a change. As the clouds then broke and revealed Mount Ruapehu it was an awesome sight.

@axeman Tuesday of Antarctica and world´s oceans entry:

Volcanoes in Baltic? What? You would say impossible? Well, that depends on the point of view in fact. Shot at very cold winter evening (if remember right was some -20 degrees) and with very low shooting point and extra wide lens. So visually its really looks like a volcano :D Enjoy the scenery!

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – African Wednesday week #17 – winner announcement!

@pierrehugo African Wednesday entry:

As the drought becomes more apparent in the South African winter, two male Zebras compete in a dramatic display of kicking, biting and rearing up onto their hind legs. It was a great sighting to witness over half an hour. The result of such behavior led to a big dust cloud every time they attempted to establish dominance. This shot was taken in the famous Kruger National Park, which is a compulsory visit should you be traveling to this exquisite part of the world.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – European Thursday week #17 – winner announcement!

@jpphotography European Thursday entry:

Charles Bridge, Prague, Czech Republic. I am sure you know this view very well: The Charles Bridge is one of Prague's most beautiful sights. When I was wandering through Prague in the evening, I saw this beautiful view and since I did not carry a tripod I looked for a wall to put my camera on to capture this long exposure.

Almost every time I'm in New York, I try to take the time for a visit to the High Line. It's an elevated park running north/south along the westside of Manhattan that transformed old, unused elevated train tracks into a beautiful thriving green park. When I was there in May, I took this cityscape photo from the park. I can't wait to go back there again soon!

Off the west coast of Oahu in Hawaii, spotted dolphins can be seen in large pods. A few tour operators can take you out to swim with these amazing creatures, giving you a truly amazing experience that you will treasure forever.

What an amazing experience to witness something like that. I just love it. Tomas

Hello! This is my entry for today's contest.

Lake Kitch Iti Kipi is a hidden gem in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Not only is the emerald water a beauty to behold, you can get across the lake via a raft pulled by a cord, and enjoy the stunning tree reflections from different perspectives, as well as the underwater world: fish, rocks, branches, and ancient tree trunks. A parking, picnic area, restroom, and gift store are right by the lake. The magical water of Kitch Iti Kipi is any photographer’s dream, and most definitely my favorite memory from my trip there last September.

Recently took a trip to the Utah national parks. Took this photo at the famous Mesa Arch in Canyonlands National Park just after sunrise. The sun is just behind the arch, creating a fascinating glow under the arch. Used Photomerge function with photoshop for creating the panorama image.

What a fabulous image! Kindly stay tuned for the winner announcement coming later on today in a separate post. Tomas

Good nice :D

This picture was taken in New Hampshire, USA in the fall of 2016. It was magical driving through the valley and seeing this splendour of colour. We wanted to do a hike that was not too long or difficult, so we chose a recommended route online. After 3 hours of hiking up a mountain, we were rewarded with this view! You never know what the unknown path of adventure will bring, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.. In this case, we won the jackpot big time!

What a breathtaking view! Lovely shot. I like the warmth in it.

Thanks @shadalene it sure was an amazing view and good opportunity to snap away!

Great shot, beautiful colors. I absolutely love Autumn. Kindly stay tuned for the winner announcement coming later on today. Tomas

Lake O'Hara in Yoho National Park, in the Canadian Rockies of British Columbia: this night (last fall) the Northern Lights were unusually brilliant, and at midnight I was almost paralyzed with indecision over where to go to photograph them (a wealth of options). I decided to take a chance and spend a few hours hiking in to this lookout over O'Hara, hoping against hope that I would get there before the light show ended. Luckily I made it just in time! No sleep that night, but well worth the groggy day after.

Lake O'Hara Aurora

That is an amazing sight and a shot! Fabulous.

Thank you!

The now overly famous Horseshoe bend near Page, Arizona. I have read some disturbing stories about the amount of people visiting this place nowadays. When I was there eight years ago, there were maybe 10 people and at times even less. It's an incredible sight and a true art piece of nature.

Impressive view and photo! This is on my "to visit" list.

Amazing place!

Just like from the travel magazine! Splendid!

Columbia River Highway, Oregon

We were driving along when we came across this amazing Chanticleer lookout point. With typical Oregon weather and some fog rolling in over the mountains it looked beautiful! The atmosphere was so amazing I could have stayed and looked at this view for hours!

Thank you so much for your great submission. Kindly stay tuned for the winner announcement coming later on today. Tomas

Something a little different this week:

This is a view of Manhattan from the Brooklyn bridge, a black and white photograph geometrically built with at the background: Manhattan's skyline and in the foreground the bridge's lines running from the top to the bottom of the image.

This is an essay, a geometrical construction and a weirdness itself 😀

Enjoy

Location: Manhattan, New York.

Awesome click! Thank you so much for your submission. Tomas

"Liquid gold" was taken at Astotin Lake, located in Elk Island National Park near Edmonton. Many photographers flock to the shores of this lake to capture the colorful sunsets behind the false island. Image taken 2017 during free park entry in the celebration of Canada's 150'th birthday.

There's nothing more North American than a Canada goose. Everyone thinks they look so good...but they're mean and they bite :) They're incredibly protective so if you get near their nests they honk and chase you. That said, they make for pretty pictures in the fall. This photo is taken just outside of Banff, Canada.

Really like the color scheme in this picture!

What a great picture! Thank you so much for your submission. Tomas

Painted Ladies in San Francisco

San Francisco is such a great city. Even though Mark Twain said: "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco." Kind of true 😜 We were lucky as you can see in the photo when we visited in 2016! The Painted Ladies near Alamo Square are one of the places you should visit.

Niagara falls is one of the most impressive nature wonders of North America. To see these falls is very overwhelming for the noise caused the water. This photo shows a view of the falls from the Canadian side.

I miss the snow so much so I have to share another one from my trip to Whistler, Canada. Every time we go up to the mountain, I would sit there and enjoy the view. The mountains around us looks so beautiful with snow everywhere and the best part was there weren't many people so you can take your time taking photos or just enjoy the view.

Toronto Skyline -

Toronto viewpoints are incomplete without the CN Tower. And why not? It has the most incredible view of the city. You can take some lovely clicks of the CN Tower from various parks around the city, the vibrant Downtown or just a speedboat ride near the lakeshore. Had clicked this picture during the boat ride.

My today entry is famous Delicate Arch, from Arches National Park in state of Utah. When I first entered in Utah, I immediately saw this special landmark on license plate and I knew that it has to be amazing. Locals told me that, I have to go there at sunset… And you know what; locals are always right about these things :-)

This is a picture of the GM building in Detroit Michigan also known as the Motor City because it was home to three of the worlds largest car companies. I took this photo a few years ago when I had got my first DSLR. It was during some winter festival thing they were having which is why the musical swings are to the left.

I grew up across the river from Detroit, back then before everything had a corporate name attached to it, it was known as the Renaissance Centre, or RenCen. Beautiful buildings, especially at night!

It is still commonly know as the RenCen. I just forgot the name while making the post lol.

Picture taken from the top of Pillboxes hike in Lanikai, Oahu. Lanikai beach is one of the most beautiful beaches of the island of Oahu. Its bright blue water and smooth and golden sand makes it one of the best places I´ve ever been, its worth it to wake up at 5am and go see the sun rising from the top of the mountain.

In summer, salmon come to Alaska and the Aleutian Islands. And even the smallest rivers become filled with powerful fish. Which at any cost should reach the spawning grounds. This is their last path. It is difficult and often dangerous to shoot in such rivers. After all, bears come for salmon ...

A photo of Lion's gate bridge in Vancouver taken with a Canon Powershot SX620 taken in July 2017. I took this on the last day of our vacation as part of a day tour. The tour offer was pretty slick because they picked us up at the pier where we got off the Disney Wonder (luggage and all) and took us on a tour through Vancouver and later dropped us off at the airport. The 1 hour lunch break was a little hectic as we had to find a place for lunch on our own.

Described as one of the most beautiful journeys on the planet, the Icefield Parkway in the canadian Rockies is a double-lane highway which leads through the wilderness of two national parks and connects Jasper with Lake Louise.

It is a really stunning experience to drive the 232 km long road. After every corner is another breathtaking view of the mountains.

What a great shot! I am not too sure if I have not seen this pic before. If so, kindly only use it once. Thank you for your understanding and have a great day. I do apologize in advance if I am just making assumptions. Tomas

I always submit my pictures only once to your contest. I have a special folder on my computer with all pics I submitted here to make sure.
But I guess with the hundreds of pics you see every day on your contests you have a difficult job ;)

This photo comes from a trip that I took to Boston, Massachusetts in the United States of America. While visiting, I was able to view many of the historically significant sites, including the Massachusetts State House, pictured below. Boston's entire Freedom Trail is very interesting if you like learning about American history, I'd definitely recommend a trip to Boston!

This is one of my travel shots in Belgrade, Serbia. When I see the sunlight and the stairs, I run and said my friend "just take a photo of freedom." The photo that you see is the contract of me with freedom. I looked at the sky and said: I am free now, and one day I will travel the world; I will see whole countries and cultures. Then I will say; I am a human."
