Rome, Italy. A place filled with History, cultural heritage and great motives for cityscape photography. The Colosseum, probably the most famous of all the sights. Listening to all the incredible things that have happened inside the arena, I tried to capture the entire Building with the ultra wide angle. Not that easy. Did you know that they flooded the entire place to have dramatic sea-fights with ships and co. Show-business 2000 something years ago ;) (Nikon D5300 Sigma 8-16mm)

This is my entry for today contest :) I just went here last week, and it's so beautiful. If you ever want to visit a rainbow mountain in Asia, you should check this one. This rainbow mountains are part of the Zhangye Danxia Landform Geological Park in China. Layers of different colored sandstone and minerals were pressed together over 24 million years and then buckled up by tectonic plates. It's similar like Vinicunca mountain, in Peru, both has different layers of sandstone colors.

This picture is quite special to me. I took it when @kryptocek and I went for a little winter hike at Lake Marian in Southland, New Zealand. We lived and worked in Milford Sound for 4 months and for the longest time we wanted to do this hike - but never got to because we lost our car in an accident and it was 40 minutes drive away. So one day we hitch hiked after work, did the hike, and hitch hiked back (right before it got dark and cars would stop coming). It was so worth it. I mean, look at this view :-)

Darwin is now covered with clouds, the tide is getting high and the trees will soon almost disappear under the water. Despite the hazy weather, the sun found its way through the clouds to create this fantastic northern Australian scenery.

Here's a fun fact. The Netherlands is the second largest exporter of agricultural goods (by dollar amount) behind only the United States. That's right, this tiny country in size is a global agricultural powerhouse. It's no surprise when you visit because once you leave any city limits, all you see are green pastures, crops, and farm animals everywhere. This particular photo was taken outside of Kampen, a small town about an hour away from Amsterdam by train.
Siena, Italy. A small town in the heart in Tuscany, a region famous for its wine and food. Iconic landscapes, cypress tress and so on and so forth. It is a pleasure to drive through all these windy roads, chased by impatient Fiats that are trying to get passed. Siena itself is rather small and quite, except for loads of tourists who are being dropped off every morning.
I suggest visiting off season to fully enjoy the oldtown area. Twice a year, this square is being turned into a horse-race court where the famous "palio" takes place. A legendary race of the houses of Siena, a race that can be rather brutal and corrupt. (Nikon D5300 8mm from the tower)

This photo was taken by we @travelingstories on the first time we have been to Florence, in Italy. Il Duomo di Santa Maria del Fiore is one of the most beautiful cathedrals in the whole world and we came back from there completely amazed with its beauty and might!
The photo was taken on the stairs of the Campanile di Giotto, right next to the Cathedral :)

Dear @czechglobalhosts & Steemians, this is my entry for European Thursday.
Most of my childhood memories are made on top of this mountains surrounding the Fotscher Tal, located in Tyrol, Austria. I'm a grown-up now, living in the city, but once in a while I'm coming back here enjoying the silence and the stunning view. It always makes me happy instantly being here :) I hope you enjoy the photo too.

Some of you are watching Tour de France for sure and you might recognize this road. This mountain peak is not in schedule for this year’s race, but it definitely is one of the most spectacular in cycling history. Cyclists are showing their effort on this mountain pass since year 1911 on this biggest cycling race.
Of course we are talking about Col du Galibier.

Walkways of Malta
Malta is very small, but very beautiful. Not talking about Valletta or other main tourist locations. Even some sidewalks are just perfect for evening promenade.
Here is the view to the St.Paul's Bay, just few meters from the entrance to our hotel. City, sea and yachts combined with nice cloud colored clouds on a sunset

I absolutely love Malta, thank you for a nice reminder.
I am particularly fond of the Ionian coast of Greece mainly because of the thriving flora and the incredible colors of the sea and Parga is my favourite town in the area!
Throughout it’s long and turbulent history has been ruled by Normans, Venetians, French, English and Ottomans till 1913 when Greece won in the Balkan Wars. The striking detail in the history is that the Ottoman Ali Pasha of Ioannina, was trying to conquer Parga for more than 20 years and finally he bought it from the English!

Norway - Epic view from Romsdalstrappa view point towards Romsdalen valley and narrow Isterdalen - the way to famous Trollstiegen. On the left side steep rocky spikes of Trolltindan - mountain massive with highest rock wall in Europe - Trollveggen. As You can see everything in Norway has Troll in the name - reason? Dramatic landscape looks really like a home of big Trolls...

Thanks, it is true, have the same feeling... dramatic mountains like a Black Mountains and the light beam - from The Eye of Sauron :). Some parts of Norway have amazing landscapes!

Visiting churches and old palaces in Europe is obviously very touristic, but it is totally worth it. This is from one building in Rome, Italy. I'm not sure which one. Guess where you can find such a beautiful, realistic and detailed painting? It's on the ceiling! It's just really amazing. My head hurts just by looking up, so I cannot imagine how they could have painted it. Especially since it looks so beautiful. If you go to Europe, go inside buildings and look around. Beautiful sights to see.

Church of Thethi is located in the tiny village of Theth, Albania. The church makes for a great photography subject as it is surrounded by the Albanian Alps, also called the Accursed Mountains, on all four sides. The abundant wildflowers make spring an excellent time to visit.

Hi Steemians, I'm posting my second picture from Tyrol. Now showing colourful houses on bank of the river Inn in Innsbruck.
Innsbruck is the capital city of Tyrol in western Austria and the fifth-largest city in Austria. It is in the Inn valley, at its junction with the Wipp valley, which provides access to the Brenner Pass some 18.6 mi to the south. Worth to see!

I do not usually submit night photos as they hardly ever turn out good but hopefully this one is not that bad :) It is the Prince's Palace of Monaco, the official residence of the Sovereign Prince of Monaco. Built as early as in 1191 as an ancient fortress, it is one of the most iconic landmarks of this tiny European country.
I don't think I've ever seen a photo of this palace at night before. Great shot!

Black Beach in Vík
I know it's summer time but still I want to post a frosty photo from Iceland. Two quotes came to my mind while scrolling through the Iceland pictures: 1) The slogan from the fashion brand "66 North" in Iceland says: "Waiting for summer since 1926" and 2) "No bad weather, just wrong clothes."
The Black Beach in Vík is a must see while in Iceland. It's on the south coast and you won't miss it. Check out the basalt formations as well. Have a great friday everyone:)
Monrepos Castle
This Castle is situated in Ludwigsburg near Stuttgart, Germany right next to the beautiful Egolsheimer Lake. This is the perfect place to switch off and relax. You can also rent a little boat and go on the lake.
A view of the Grand Canal or Canal Grande in Venice. This is one of the main channels of the city, and the view is how the majority of people think of this unusual city plenty of gondolas and impressive palaces along the canal. The photo was taken near the Rialto bridge.

This is a Museum of the Mont-de-Piété of Bergues in France. I visit this place with my partner at the moment. There are so many historical places around here. This museum is one of them. We really like this place, is very quiet and feel peaceful to walk around. The Museum houses many paintings mainly from the northern schools, we will also find French paintings from the nineteenth century and exhibits from the Benedictine Abbey of St. Winoc and convents of the city seized the revolution, numerous drawings and documents. The most beautiful work of the museum is "the Vielleur the dog" by Georges de La Tour.
Stari Most bridge in Montenegro.
The beautiful bridge is built over the green and blue Rijeka Crnojevića river which flows into the big Skadar Lake. Skadar Lake is the biggest lake in Montenegro and a famous national park.
I took this photo from the top of l'Arc de Triomphie. I also made a post sharing my view from there with few more similar images 😁

This photo is in the country of Andorra, it is close to Spain and many speak in Catalan. It has very beautiful and unique landscapes, many places to walk and spend a pleasant vacation.
THE EIFFEL TOWER
This picture was taken in the summer of 2014 on my trip to Europe.
I have dozens of pictures of the Eiffel Tower, generally from the park, which is the “usual” pic; but the Eiffel Tower is so amazing that when you are at the foot of t, it seems endless, huge as it is. The lights at night give it another face of beauty. By the way, you don´t need a great camera for the Eiffel tower, she does all the Work by herself, this was taken with my phone.
The midnight sun up in the North of Norway just blows my mind, it never gets dark here and trying to watch it (not) set is almost painful for the eyes. However, it was so pretty I couldn't stop watching it for hours on end!

I have been living in Karlsruhe since last year. There is not that much to see in the city itself, but we do have a really cool museum: The centre of art, media, and technology (ZKM) has some fascinating modern art installations and impressive architecture that I captured in this photo with my wide angle lens.

Dear Steemers, find here my competion picture taken on one winter morning from the window of the hotel we stayed in in a fairytale village Mauarach closed to the Innsbruck in Austrian Tyrol. As the Tyrolean region is located in the Alps, the landscape is heavily influenced by the mountains.
Visited Zakopane earlier this year, and during our stay we took the cable car to Mount Kasprowy (located almost 2000 metres above sea level). The view was stunning, the cable car ride was also great, and it can warmly be recommended
Too much beauty in our world, nature is something magical particularly I like New zealand although it is a country perqueño, is a country that has evolved in terms of flora and fauna which has made it a unique land of plants. Many people friendly.

The picture of the scenes shows a beautiful view of photography. The picture that can be painted with color of human imagination seems to be more natural. The painting is no longer in color and color. Photography is also limited to camera frames. Like technology and rich imagination of human imagination.
Nature is more than I enjoy. In particular, this brick wood captured from a busy mechanical life of a fictitious camera might have taken us some time to nature.

This photo depicts the tomb of Honoré de Balzac, one of the greatest writer of all time. He was born in 20 May 1799, at Tours, Departement d'Indre-et-Loire, Centre, France; and died in 18 Aug 1850 (aged 51) at Paris, City of Paris, Île-de-France, France. Now he was buried at Cimetière du Père Lachaise, Paris, City of Paris, Île-de-France, France.
He is considered the founder of the realistic school of French Literature. Balzac was the first great writer to explore the influence of environment on human beings, and to reveal the complex bonds that tie man to society.
I visited this cemetery in 2009, and very excited with it....

The Netherlands, Burgh Haamstede. The dunes protect our country from the sea. For the last 6 weeks we have exceptionel hot weather in The Netherlands, without any rain. So the nature is very dry. Hopefully nothing will go wrong.
Sunset photography is a favourite subject any time of the year. The rich colors, dramatic lighting and strong shapes they offer can produce stunning shots with little need for much effort or clever planning from you.

the ˋWaldviertel´ (... ˋForest Quarter´ freely translated ...) of Lower Austria above the River Danube...! ~ ✨ ~
It indeed does its title justice by offering a scenic most romantic landscape that each year lures tourists close to be enchanted by fairytale-like quaintness and ˋnature in its purest form´ :)
The old fishing towns of the Peloponnese in Greece are full of beauty. The colours of the boats contrast nicely against the beautiful clear waters which have such a rich history.
How beautiful is the nature of our surroundings Our nature looks more beautiful than the sky, which only birds can see. Birds enjoy this beautiful nature every day.
