Hello fellow Steemians!

Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 200 SBD! Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Australia. I am also adding New Zealand to the same challenge as there were some concerns from other Steemians as to which continent NZ belongs to.

Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

Please see the winner of Asian Sunday and give him your support if you like his image to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. You can vote for him by upvoting his winner announcement post below:

This man is carrying a basket full of bricks in his head. The bricks arrived by boats and are carried to the construction site by a few men walking with these basket on their head. It takes a lot of skills to do the same. Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Wharariki Beach near Farewell Spit in the upper north of New Zealand's South Island is a spectacular location. You have dunes, sea stacks, caves and a beautiful countryside. It's a bit of a drive up there but totally worth it. A caravan park is just 1km walking distance from the beach.

This is surreal!

Woah this looks so silky and smooth!

Yep, so beautiful. Just have to agree with the rest!

What a beautiful sunset, the colours were stunning. This photo was taken at the bottom of Australia, not far from Streaky Bay in South Australia, an area of Australia I'd love to explore more.

The birds look so awesome!

What a fabulous entry! Thank you so much for that.

The magnificent 12 Apostles in the state of Victoria, Australia. Created by constant erosion of the limestone cliffs 10–20 million years ago, the stormy Southern Ocean and blasting winds gradually eroded the softer limestone, forming caves in the cliffs. The caves eventually became arches and when they collapsed, high rock stacks were left isolated from the shore. Despite the name, there have actually never been 12 of these rock stacks. The entire coast is so beautiful and dramatic with its brilliant sandy yellow color!

It's amazing what a power of nature can do over the time. Would be interesting to see what will be there in the next few million years:).....

yes indeed, we can only use our imagination :)

Here's my entry...

This photo was taken along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia. This is one of the spectacular sights to see along this long and windy road which hugs the coastline where you can see these fabulous limestone cliffs and spires.

Good to see you back!

Hahaa, thank you!! :D
I got it right this time didn't I?

The last steamship coming back to the port as the sun is slowly setting down behind the mountains surrounding Queenstown. The colours a fantastic and the landscape is breathtaking, if you happen to go over there, take the ride!

New Zealand (NZ) has part of it on the Australian Plate and part on the Pacific Plate. Some call NZ Zealandia, especially Earth Scientists, or the 8th continent. So including it in the Australia comp is totally cool too!!

:)

Here is a photo from the Pacific plate. Southern Alps, one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in the world. Enjoy!

Taken at ~2000 m above the surface.

If you like my photos, please upvote and follow. Enjoy the beauty and the amazing rocks.

That is one hell of a climb! Great job!

Yes it was! Thanks and glad you like the photo!

I had never planned on going to the centre of Australia since I pictured it as nothing but a huge rock surrounded by an even larger desert, but my ride share from Cairns to Darwin went to the red centre, so I ended up there and loved it. I had been so wrong: Not only are Uluru and the adjoining Valley of the Winds some of the most amazing natural sights that I have seen in my life, but also Kings Canyon is such an impressive place. In Kings Canyon, there are natural springs like this one that have provided the Aborigines with water for thousands of years.

I am glad to hear you have made it there since we get some amazing clicks:)

I finally got my DSLR back from being repaired and mother nature turned on this great little show. Great to be back out behind the camera again.

And great to have you back! What and amazing image to share with us. Thank you so much for that!

Akaroa on the South Island of New Zealand. I was lucky enough to spend three months in this location. My favourite walk was to the opposite hill from the town and hang out with the cows who have an amazing view .

Thank you so much for your wonderful entry! Fantastic!

The sand dunes at Port Stephens, NSW are so big that it could easily be mistaken as a desert despite it being very close to the coast. This picture was taken on our way to a sandboarding spot deep inside the dunes. We are not sure what those pyramids are for. May be for parking camels?

Those pyramids at Stockton sand dunes are tank traps put in place in WW2.

Some info here on them http://www.thelongpaddock.net/stockton-beach.html

There are some under the main beachfront as well

Thanks! That's good information. Learn something new everyday! (actually I feel kind of silly now as these things actually have such a serious use). Thanks for pointing it out!

Tallows Beach
A few days ago we have spend the morning on the Cape Byron Walking Track in Byron Bay. From the top of the Cape Byron I shot this photo from Tallows Beach. That view is something you definitely should not miss while you´re in the area.

We had to wake up early at the Port Lincoln caravan park, because we booked a daytrip for white shark cage diving. So we were lucky to see this nice sunrise. The trip was great, we saw the shark. What a lovely day

A great shot that has brought out not only the scenic beauty but also beautiful sunset as well as the unique boats in the second picture.
This is a great one, nothing is exaggerated, everything is the way it is supposed to be, like I'm viewing the real place yet it's the tactics of the 📷 man that has made it appear real.
It's one outstanding photo shot.
