Hello fellow Steemians!
I am starting the week #44 of my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge and we are back to the continent of Asia.
If you like to participate, place your personal image from your travels in Asia in the comment section below with a short 30 to 50 word description. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.
Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total. So far I have given out thousands of dollars in upvotes and hundreds of SBD in rewards.

This is my entry for today contest :) I just went here last week, and it's so beautiful. If you ever want to visit a rainbow mountain in Asia, you should check this one. This rainbow mountains are part of the Zhangye Danxia Landform Geological Park in China. Layers of different colored sandstone and minerals were pressed together over 24 million years and then buckled up by tectonic plates. It's similar like Vinicunca mountain, in Peru, both has different layers of sandstone colors.

I've said this before and I still firmly believe it. Sometimes the journey can be as interesting and beautiful as the destination. I transited through the international airport in Hanoi and was blown away by the view through the massive windows at the departure gates. And for an entirely random fact, there's a Popeye's Chicken in this terminal. Even though there's a Popeye's two blocks from me in Hollywood, I've never eaten there until I had it in Hanoi. The chicken really does live up to its reputation!
That sure is a fabulous airport!
We get up early one day in the middle of last year’s September and it definitely paid off with good morning view on Mount Bromo in Indonesia.
This volcano is still an active one and it has huge cultural influence on Indonesian people.
Would say that sunrise at Mt. Bromo is a must see in traveler life 😃

You're welcome. That picture is incredibly good!
Absolutely superb!
Thank you Tomas for choosing my photo as a daily winner.
I am going on short vacations now so I will be most probably back for European Thursday :)
Have a nice Monday!
Koh Chang in Thailand
in 2014 on our travels through south-east-asia we visited the island Koh Chang in the the Province of Trat which lays in the Golf of Thailand. One day, on the way to a beach we saw this cute little Restaurant directly at a small River.
Beautiful colour contrast between the leaves (are they changing colours, or a mix of red and green?).
thanks! I think they were just about to change their color.
Cool! Beautiful! Looks like they are changing...
Love the red color!
thanks Tomas!
Temple in Ipoh, Malaysia
Ipoh is one of the most underrated destinations in Malaysia. Not only is the city surrounded by beautiful nature, but it is also home to an abundance of impressive temple, many of which are located in natural caves.

Masjid Raya Baiturrahman, is a mosque located in downtown Banda Aceh, Aceh.
The Baiturrahman Grand Mosque is a religious symbol, and a silent witness to the struggle and nationalism of the Acehnese people,
And also the Aceh Tsunami Tragedy in 2004 ago, which devastated the land of this Veranda of Mecca.
The mosque is located right in the center of Banda Aceh City and is the pride of the Acehnese People.

Fabulous image, thank you for that.
Hong Kong Harbour
On our way to New Zealand we stopped in Hong Kong for 2 days. Amazing city, friendly people, really close to the Western culture and a lot to see:) This bw image was shot from the ferry while crossing the river between Kowloon Bay over to Hong Kong Island. The ferries are pretty old but it's really worth it to take at least a ride once. Have a great week everybody!
Yep, Hong Kong sure is a fascinating city. Thank you for sharing your image with us.
Hello all

Could you please remove the rest of your 19 posts ?
I would be even more interested as of why people are upvoteing them ~ ? ~ I am reminded of Mardi Gras in the midst of July ~ 🙃 ~
Despite the fact that the image was posted countless times it sure is a great shot. I am not sure that it was some kind of glitch as to why the image was posted that many times. Kindly try to avoid that in the future. Tomas
Vietnam, Tam Coc (Near Nihn Binh),
This place is called the "dry Ha long Bay". Similar rock formations on the main land, just like in the famous Bay. This one was absolutely breathtaking. After being there during the day, I came back the day later for the sunset lighting. Sprinted up the trizillion stairs to enjoy this view until the dark. On top of the mountain stands a concrete dragon that watches over the area.
What a beautiful image. Thank you for sharing with all of us.
Thanks! Quick question, how do you feel about repeated entries? Let's say it didn't catch your attention, would you reconsider if entered a few weeks later?
Stunning panorama of Dubai, UAE. Shot from the first observation deck of famous Burj Khaliva - the tallest world's building so far.
Was quite an issue to shoot at night through the glass due reflection of the lights of observation deck, but result is quite good
Enjoy the thousand lights!

Truly fascinating place!
This is Gueishan Island, it is an island in the Pacific Ocean, in Taiwan. The island is the top of an andesitic stratovolcano that rises from the bottom of the sea. It is the only active volcano in Taiwan, showing active fumaroles and solfataras. An excellent place to spend vacations or a break from time to time.
This photo is of Summer Palace, from when I visited Beijing last year. We spent the day exploring the palace grounds, and I took this photo from below while looking up and admiring the traditional Chinese architecture.
Enjoy the natural beauty of the sunset in the Lhokseumawe city reservoir. This reservoir is located in downtown Lhokseumawe and is the place where the people around look for fish. This reservoir is also the largest in the city of Lhokseumawe, aceh, Indonesia.
Surprising some yaks in Central Asia
These yaks were just chilling on their own before we came upon them. Yaks being strong against wind and cold are still sometimes startled when they see people. The on closest to me has a huge eye on me because I think he had not seen another person all summer... hahaha.
This personal photo taken by me is also posted on my blog.
This picture was taken at the wharf of Baidicheng, the City of White Emperor. As we got back onto our cruise ship by the shores of the Yangtze River, the sun was setting, giving a golden glow to the city wall and the pagoda in the distance.
Really cool shot! Almost perfect reflection!
Hello...My entry is 'Hawa Mahal' situated right in heart of pink city called Jaipur in India. I have visited a number of times. The palace was built by then ruller ..Maharaja Swai Pratap Singh. The place is built using pink and red stone. Because of this the city is also called Pink City. The architecture was built like a crown and have 953 small windows. Built especially for the royal ladies to see thrpugh the streets and busy market place, by remaining out of view of public.
Still the place is standing tall right beside the busy Jaipur street and a good tourist destination. Fyi...Hawa means 'Air' whereas Mahal means ' Palace'
Thanks

Dear Tom @czechglobalhosts, here is my entry for Asian Sunday Photo Challenge:
Located in Bengkulu, Sumatra, Indonesia, on the shores of Tapak Paderi Beach, the Marlborough Fort is an ancient building of British colonial heritage. This Fortress has its back to the Indian Ocean and was established on an artificial hill overlooking the city of Bengkulu.
Fort Marlborough is the largest bastion of Asian relics of the British Government at the time of colonization in the 18th century. The fort was originally functioning as a defense. But over time, this building then changed the function into a trading center.
Fort Marlborough has a very strong appeal because the design is still original 17th-century design, with no significant renovation. This Fort was founded by the East India Company (EIC) between 1714-1719 under the leadership of the governor Joseph Callet. The fort was built as a British fortress.
Hope you like it...
Have a lovely day...
Best Regards
ZR

Halo from Indonesia. This historical building called Prambanan temple. It located in Central Java, around 1 hour from Jogjakarta. I took this picture when visited last year with my girl friend. The big temples symbolize the God in Hinduism faith. I should say it's a wonderful cultural heritage.
