Sometimes you get lucky in the hotel room lottery. This was my view at the Conrad in Hong Kong when I visited last October. It's not too bad when you can wake up as the sun is rising and take a photo like this. I'll be honest, I did go back to sleep for a bit after watching the sunrise. :)

Cormorant Fisherman in Yangshuo, China

Today I searched for a particular photo from our trip to China last year and I stumbled over this bw photo from the fisherman shooting in Yangshuo. I had the amazing opportunity to photograph the fisherman in his traditional outfit and on his boat between the gorgeous Karst mountains during sunset. Once in a lifetime experience for sure!

Wonderful entry! Thank you so much for your submission.

padar-viewpoint.jpg

This is the viewpoint on top of the island Padar, which is part of the Komodo National Park in Indonesia. You won't find any of the worlds famous Komodo dragons on Padar island, they only live on the islands Komodo and Rinca.
This viewpoint is the first part of the Komodo day tour. Afterwards you see the dragons on Komodo, visit a pink beach and go snorkeling with Manta Rays - for many this was the highlight of the day.

Thank you

Gardens by the Bay in Singapore

A city like Singapore can't just have a normal city park like any other city: The Asian metropolis has built artificial trees in the Gardens by the Bay that are covered with real plants. The giant "trees" are connected with a skywalk.

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

What an amazing place that is. Thank you so much for sharing. Tomas

Fishing may be the work done by most of the people who live on the coast to meet the needs of families and daily needs, not to mention the people who live on the coast of Kampung Jawa banda Aceh who work as fishermen who have the catch of export quality out of town.

One of the tourist destination of rice field in aceh.
Not only in the sea can watch the sunset, but the rice fields in lam lhom village offers a million charms.
The green color of rice fields that blend with nature seems to make aceh has its own characteristics to build tourist destinations. which is now the task of the Aceh government is in full development to attract tourists from abroad.

This picture was taken on the west coast of Aceh on Layeun beach, Aceh Besar district, Aceh province, Indonesia. A yacht owned by foreign tourists enjoys sunset and dusk in the loose seas.

As the sunset in the west of Indonesia, there is a black cloud that adorns the sky so that the photo I shoot gives an interesting frame.

This "TAREK PUKAT" activity is still attached to traditional Aceh fishermen who catch fish in the sea using "PUKAT" Even this tradition is still active in working by the fishermen in Indonesia in particular. this activity is usually done in the morning and afternoon, and some even do at night. for the Indonesian people, catching fish in this way is an activity that is still a traditional choice.

Stunning image! Thank you so much for your participation. Kindly stay tuned for the winner announcement coming later on today.

Today I'm taking you to the old Dhaka ship yards. This is a place where people are repairing, painting or building boats.
The are working in poor conditions, mostly without safety gears!
This is a magnificent playground for photographer where personally I got mind-blowing by what I saw.

This is another photo taken at a lower level viewing platform at Hongyadong, Chongqing, where the traditional building contrasts nicely with the modern high rise buildings on the other side of the Jialing River. The Hongyadong complex have roof top Chinese style gardens providing a bit of green in the sea of concrete.

I love the contrast of old and new. Great shot!

Thanks! Glad you liked it!

Masjid Raya Baiturrahman a mosque built during the sultanate of Aceh, this mosque is a symbol of religion, and a silent witness to the struggle of nationalism of the people of Aceh, as well as the Aceh Tsunami Tragedy in 2004 ago,
The mosque is located right in the center of Banda Aceh City and is the pride of the Acehnese People.
it is no wonder if this mosque becomes the most visited religious tourism every year, be it foreign and local tourists.

On the photo below we can see rice terraces in Bali, Indonesia. There are some of the nicest rice terraces on the world. I really like green color, so that is another reason why I like that photo and Indonesian rice fields in general.

Isle Elenka, Lake Baikal

At any time of year, Lake Baikal is bathed in an unfathomable, mystical aura, but in the winter, the lake is more than that. With the jagged promontory of Isle Elenka looming over the lake’s icy surface, my mind wanders in a more ominous direction. This is a formidable landscape. It is not for the faint-hearted.

Simply stunning!

Turkey Village. that is the name given to Lampuuk subdistrict Lhoknga Aceh Besar. the name given after the 2004 tsunami. Dubai is the largest and most populous city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).It is located on the southeast coast of the Persian Gulf and is the capital of the Emirate of Dubai, one of the seven emirates that make up the country.
The Emirate's Western-style model of business drives its economy with the main revenues now coming from tourism, aviation, real estate, and financial services

A plenty of constructions is in progress and you can see cranes everywhere. And night views of the city is just perfect for shooting, especially with a long exposure

Enjoy the scenery!

sunset is indeed very beautiful, but behind the beauty of the sunset there is a deep meaning. sunset is a blessing that always reminds us to be grateful for the noon until the night turns.

I am very lucky to be able to enjoy the beautiful sunset light on the beach lhoek seudu, Aceh province, Indonesia.

thanks @czechglobalhosts has created this very useful contest.

Hey @czechglobalhosts, was wondering if I could message you on discord or just on here. It's not directly involving this challenge in specific but I'm a member of @IFC and I am currently doing a challenge to help promote @irvinesimages as his son is the one in charge of @IFC. I know you've promoted @irvinesimages photos in a few of your contest so far. I was wondering if by chance you'd be willing to maybe give him a certain % of upvote maybe 1-2 a week on post/images that you deem worthy!

They are giving away a contest a photo worth about 70$ to one of us who will find a way to help him grow here on Steemit!

So I thought I could contact you as it's something you're passionate about and you've helped him in the past! Thanks again

Dom

Hello! Thank you for reaching out to me. Nevertheless, I am not going to give you much of a positive answer as of now since I am currently taking care of a couple of other projects with one more down the line. The only thing I can do is to suggest to take part in my contest that will bring high exposure, good networking possibilities, and a chance to earn fairly decent upvote. Thank you for your understanding. Tomas

Awesome! Thanks a lot Tomas and I hope I didn't annoy you or anything! Your contest that you run are fantastic and I'm excited to move to Prague in September and hopefully be able to take a lot more shots to enter your contests! I will definitely speak with him and hopefully he keeps entering as well! :) Cheers

I took this photo in Nepal during Annapurna Circuit Trek. You can see Annapurna II on the photo. I was sitting in dining room and had view like this.
It was great to be in the highest mountains in the world and just look at hem. I didn't have to climb there. This view was enough prety for me ;)

Nara, Japan

Near Todai-ji temple you can see this little island holding a tori-gate. The symbol of Japanese Shintoism. The light of the sinking sun and the crane as a kind of symbol of peace, adds to that special atmosphere.

Snow leopards in Central Asia - Watch out, he bites! I love this photo because it is a raw, beautiful place in the middle of nowhere in Central Asia. This statue is the guardian of this pass and watches over the Tian Shen mountains and all that pass him. A beautiful site and I hope to return sometime.

These are beautiful images that nature has for Ninh Binh, Vietnam.
Here there are many caves. When coming here you will feel cool and fresh air.

This is bank of China in HK, my favorite architecture in Hong Kong. It is one of the most recognizable skyscraper in central HK. The line and edges maybe very simple and clean, but it is a powerful architecture. It light up beautifully at night and I tried a few different angles to capture the glimpse of its beauty.

Just want to share this beautiful architecture with everyone. =)

If you like being out of the way, Bangkok is worth a look. If you are more like to love luxury and tranquility, you do not need to go there. For my part, I could not have imagined a better place to close my adventure in Thailand which was like this megalopolis: crazy and hectic!

Hello. This photo taken by me in the Asian side of Turkey and also Istanbul. I think you all know Istanbul and Canakkale are the cities that have areas on both Asia and Europe.
In this photo an unknown fisher man take look at the European side of Istanbul, from the Asian side of it. And who knows what he is thinking at that time...

One of the few reasons why Asia could be considered as one of the best continents in the world is their beautiful temples and their respect for it.. Buddhist temple thailand

The stars seem so bright in these areas away from pollution and urban cities. This is Ferry meadows and Nanaga parbat in Pakistan the beauty of the mountain, Nananga means the naked mountain the logic is snow doesn't settle on the mountain and you can see its surface.

The Alishan Forest Railway is one of the few zig zag railways in the world, and takes you up 2216m ASL to the famous Alishan in Taiwan. I did a trek last year most of which was walking along the railway track with the occasional train passing by. The best thing about this trek is the stunning undulating mountain views making this a unforgettable trek.

This is a picture of the beauty of the country above the clouds in Infonesia, here has a cold temperature compared to other regions in Indonesia. if you are a coffee connoisseur, maybe you've heard gayo coffee, yes this is the place.

In case it's still not the cut off... Here's my entry.

This is at Laki Beach, Mariveles, Bataan, Philippines. 😊

I went there last month and it was amazingly beautiful. I mean, you'd seriously take pictures of anything because everything is picture perfect. 😁 There was even a small sea urchin nearby.

This was taken around 8am.
