Hello fellow Steemians!
I am starting the week #33 of my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge and we are back to the continent of Asia.
If you like to participate, place your personal image from your travels in Asia in the comment section below with a short 30 to 50 word description. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.
Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total. So far I have given out thousands of dollars in upvotes and hundreds of SBD in rewards.

Sometimes the journey can be as entertaining as the destination. I don't think many people would rank hanging out in an airport very high on their list of favorite things to do. But at some airports try to make the experience more fun, like Taipei's Taoyuan International Airport in Taiwan. In this airport, there are themed waiting lounges, like the history of cinema or mail service to an homage to literature, sports and music. And then there's this. The spectacular Hello Kitty world time zone clock. And don't worry, there's also a Hello Kitty waiting lounge too! Let's just say if you have a layover in Taipei, you will be entertained!
lol. That is awesome. Have you seen the funny Japanese urinals? Some of them are amazing.
Isle Elenka, Lake Baikal
I made the trip to Baikal in winter. It’s the most treacherous season on the lake, but also the most beautiful. When it freezes, Baikal doesn’t turn white. Instead it turns a deep, glassy blue, streaked with cracks and fissures like inclusions in a gemstone.
What a great image from your trip. Thank you for that!
Amazing view to Dubai from 124 floor observation deck of famous Burj Khalifa tallest building in the world.
In fact that was quite an issue to make such a night shot handheld, through the window glass counting all those flares and reflection from observation deck luminescence.
Anyhow, manged something and and looks really not bad :)
Enjoy the scenery :)

It is so much better in full screen. Awesome shot. So many cool colors.
What an amazing shot. Thank you for sharing with everyone. I was there few days back and it really is a different world over there.
Aceh, known as a million charms in terms of tourism, culinary and culture make this one city has its own charm.
Lampu'uk Beach which became the best tourist icon today is the attraction of local and foreign tourists, each year its beaches get 12,000 to 15,000 tourists visit.
Best regards @czechglobalhosts
This really is a beautiful picture.
I was just wondering how can we find a copyright ©aulia written in the middle of the image!
Your user name is @mata.lensa and all your blog posts are copyrighted ©mata.lensa !
After checking your blog, I thought you are taking beautiful pictures and I have no doubt about your photographic skill.
But still wonder why is this ©aulia with another name on it?
Would you please kindly clarify this to us?
Regards.
related © Aulia's copyright mark last year.
and the © mata.lensa sign is a sign of copyright this year.
related photos, it is my original photo
@vinceboisgard
you can check on other blogs, if there are photos with the same color, I am ready to accept the risks
Thank you for clarifying, I was thinking it would be the case. I use to have a different watermark in the past and sometimes I post picture that still have this old watermark (the name is the same in my case).
Frankly I trust you and I do not doubt of your photographic skills. I was just curious about this misunderstanding about the copyright.
Thanks a lot for clarifying :) and as I previously said, this is a great capture ;) good luck to you for this contest.
thanks also @vinceboisgard
with the same case as you, this indirectly makes a lesson for me.
sorry for this already makes you wonder.
i will follow you as a reminder for me :)
That's the real name of my identity.
and that's my nickname
@vinceboisgard
Thank you for your input. However, this really is raising some concerns for me. I need you to convince me bit more about the identity issues and the connection between you and @aulia photography. Kindly e-mail me at cgh@czechglobalhosts.com
OK, @czechglobalhosts
I will send via email
Thank you.
@czechglobalhosts
I have sent my identity to you via email cgh@czechglobalhosts.com

Thanks again @czechglobalhosts
this is a big lesson for me,
I will not repeat it again.
This photo was taken at my recent visit to Hong Kong at the peak.
I was able to take this photo at 7pm, where the sky still have a tinge of blue and the city just brighten up by its magnificent lighting. The foggy weather reflect the city light combine with the sky and give it a indigo colour. This picture remind me the beauty of this city with little mysteriousness cover under the fog.
Just want to share this view with the world~ =)
Victoria Peak is one of the best vantage points for shooting pics of HK! Futuristic view and picture!
it is indeed ~
And the world is happy for your sharing:)... great entry.
thank you ~ glad you like it ^^
"Kuala Cut" Beach Aceh Besar
Yes, a beach directly opposite the Indian Ocean has a beautiful natural panorama.
In addition to sand along its white beaches, and turquoise waters of turquoise, this beach is also a favorite place of aceh people when the weekend arrives, and there is one more beautiful natural beach panorama is very, very unfortunate if we miss, especially if it is not his sunset process.
Thank you so much for your contribution and this stunning image. Truly appreciated.
The majority of Indonesia's population is Muslim, so it is not surprising that in all corners of the country there is a place of worship (mosque) for all the people who are Islamic.
and this is one of the mosques that I photograph at dusk. and this is the moment that I really like.
Fantastic shot. What a great contribution to Asian Sunday. Thanks ever so much.
The view of the desert and the dead sea from the Masada fortress. It was built by Herod the Great in the 1st century BC, during the first Jewish war Masada became the last place of resistance of the Jewish insurgents against the Romans. In 2001, the site was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
What a great frame for your image. Truly wonderful shot.
Aceh has such an amazing history and culture, Aceh also has such a magnificent natural beauty and aceh has beautiful sunset beauty that does not have to wait for the sunset to arrive, on the edge of rice paddies aceh also very fascinated to enjoy the beauty ofthe sunset.
Thank you so much for this stunning image! Truly beautiful scenery.
thanks again for liking this very simple image.
A story about the dusk of Kampung Jawa where saturation takes place after a day's work. Crowds who come enjoy the sunset both with friends and relatives. The village of Java will not be exhausted if told about the overall beauty of both sea and culture even attract foreign tourists.
The color of the sky is just mind blowing. Jus wow!
Singapore Skyline by Night
I posted this photo already on my blog, but I think it's also a good entry to the Asian Sunday Photo Challenge. I took a lot photos of the Singapore skyline during my time in Singapore. This photo were taken on May 14, 2015. The skyline by night is just amazing. The colors of the Singapore skyline changing constantly and are always nice to look at. I really like it.
The best location to see this great view is opposite the Singapore Flyer at Gardens by the Bay East.

That is an amazing shot. What a wonderful place that is. I was there few days back and loved it there.
This is Shibaozhai, a fortress tower built on the side of a sharp cliff on a mountain in the middle of Yangtze River with over 300 years of history. Bulit by an outlaw it used to be a formidable defense structure in the middle of the river assuming a high position. But with the construction of Three Gorges Dam, the water level raised dramatically and in order to protect the building, stone walls are built surrounding the rock to provide support and keep the water out. It is now known affectionately as the largest Bonsai in the world.
That looks awesome. I would love to go there. Great shot.
Thanks!
PhraNang Beach
A sublime place, the most beautiful beach I could admire in Thailand.
The place is exceptional, the beautiful beach and the photos with the huge rock in the background will make everyone dream when you return. Magic Sunset, Postcard Beach! What happiness!
Torii
This was taken at Fushimi Inari Taisha, Japan. I loved being able to walk through all the Torri gates. There was long stretches of these gates that you could walk through at this temple. The markings along each gate represent the person or organization that paid to have that particular gate erected. It is a magical place and something I would recommend to anyone heading to Japan to see.

Who dare to enter in the devil's house?
Located in Bali, this stunning sculpted cave named the "Elephant Cave" or "Goa Gajah" was built in the 11th century and was used as a sanctuary. The legend says it was created by the fingernail of the legendary giant Kebo Iwa.
Location: Bali, Indonesia.
This is the fishing port and to the aceh ocean here where tuna fish export and canned fish processing place, to be sold to the market. I see the sky is very beautiful sea water was very quiet during the afternoon. I took this photo at the fisheries and marine ports of Aceh located in the village of Lampulo Banda Aceh Indonesia.
China town in Kobe, Japan
This one is from my archive. I visited Kobe back in May 2009 and it was my first and (regrettably) only trip to Japan. Also one of my first experiments with HDR - it combines three different expositions and this is also why some of the people in the picture appear like ghosts.

Osaka, Japan 大阪
Tsuutenkaku-tower 通天閣 in Shinsekai-area. That area is one of the places where you still can get a feeling of Showa-era's atmosphere. You can imagine a Japan that might be already gone, building from a different time, which sell things and stories which will bring back some long lost memories.
this is my first entry on the contest in this comment.
this gambar is the result of my shots in a dam in the small town where I live, precisely located in aceh, lhokseumawe city, this reservoir is a very suitable location to wait for the sunset, I often visit this place, here is a place for me to enjoy afternoon engan enjoy a cup of hot tea and roasted corn. Welcome to the challenge. You have done very well with your entry. Tomas
Thank you, I will wait for next week for this challenge in Asia, I will show my best photo on this challenge
I had an enjoyable experience on a trip to the peaceful countryside of the ethnic Kơ Tu in Khe Tre Town, Nam Dong District, Thua Thien Hue Province, Vietnam. This is a mountainous district. In the past, people lived here very little and life was very difficult, but now it has improved a lot. Here, there are natural resources and unique cultural values. I have been experiencing roads bent through each of the ravines.
This breathtaking view can be enjoyed from the observation deck of Baiyoke Tower 2, Thailand's second tallest building. This skyscraper also houses the luxurious Baiyoke Sky Hotel. That makes it one of the highest hotel buildings in the world.
My entry this week is from Gunung Leuser National Park in northern Sumatra. I was there last September and it was one of the highlights of my three week travel across beautiful Indonesia. On the photo below you can see wild orangutan in his natural habitat, which is an amazing experience!

Big Buddha at Phuket is biggest Buddhist statue from South provinces. Buddha is 45 meters tall with a base diameter of 25 meters. Whole temple will be build here but it will took time, because whole temple is build by people donations.
Trainers and race committees are attracting raging horse before joining the traditional Gayo horse race held in the Central Aceh district, Aceh province, Indonesia. Traditional horse racing in the Gayo highlands, Aceh, has become one of the cultures in Asia that has existed since ancient times and is still preserved until now. The uniqueness of this horse race is played by little jockeys who are aged 10 to 15 years, and also this horse race is still very traditional without using a saddle.

Night Bazaar Lanterns
This photo is a little different from the landscapes I typically share here on Steemit. This is a display of lanterns for sale at a night bazaar in Chiang Mai Thailand. I was amazed by the talent and skill in many of the goods produced and sold at this market. The world is full of so many neat things to see!
Enchantment of Banda Aceh City Indonesia at night, radiating glittering lights. light up the road and the new fly over is ready to be unveiled. Fly over roundabout city banda aceh. use drone dji mavic pro combo above fly over

If you're really looking for something authentic in Taipei, try the street food. It is not difficult to find a place to eat: the night markets are full of exotic dishes and products. In the traditional streets of Taipei, we find the steaming noodle stalls, nowadays it is considered one of the best dishes are served at street level, where we see from the youngest children to adults savor these food delights.
A photo was shot. When I travel in Trang An-Ninh Binh, Vietnam. Have you ever heard of this place, I guess you already know it. Because it is taken as the main backdrop in the movie "Skull Island". There is also a cave "Sơn Đoòng", the world's largest cave.

I was Crossing this bridge and saw children sitting, learning their alphabets. I felt curious and enquired about it and came to know of a street school here in Karachi. The child labor in Pakistan is increasing and many children can't afford to go to schools. A group of students are trying to bring the school to the children. I felt like this was a great initiative to give back to society and thought of sharing my experience spreading knowledge and happiness.

this is our traditional tin house. The place is munshiganj, Bangladesh. I took this shot when visited munshiganj. this house is small but very nicely decorated. the village people live in this type of house.
Here is the photo :
An amazing palace in Kuala Lumpur.. I was making a random walk in the city centre and I encountered this magnificent palace.. With the architectural form it came to me like it was constructed in a fairy tale but it is just in the city center.. I don't know if it was occupied by government or opened the visit. Because of my limited time I couldn't check it..
This shot was taken 11 miles northeast of the city Yogyakarta, Indonesia at sunset. It shows the Hindu-Temple which is called Prambanan. It is the largest Hindu temple of ancient Java, one of the biggest in Southeast Asia and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Thank you for the enjoyable contest. I live in Mindanao Philippines. I went exploring two days ago in Mount Malindang. On the way down, I took a different route and stumbled upon this beautiful place. So today I went back to this place and took a few photographs. I hope upyou enjoy.
My dream came through! I met the sunset in the middle of the desert!!!
This is my pic from a thrilling Desert Safari in Abu Dhabi. After having crazy half an hour dune bashing, camel rides at a camp and just before the final stop for barbeque dinner, I had a chance to take this pic at sunset under the blue sky.
Puerto Galera
Last year I discovered (for myself) the Philippines. Despite the complexity of the route, - after landing in Manila, you need to travel to the islands in different ways, - I was very impressed by this region of southeast Asia. I want to note wonderful places for diving, mild climate and of course the inhabitants of this beautiful country.
this is my picture when i'm holidaying in my own country in aceh indonesia..

Sifting through my files looking for old videos I'm now in a folder with dragonboat footage from Shaoguan. While waiting for an upload to finish, I checked Steemit & found this contest. Since it fits...
This pic is from a dragonboat race at the Shao Gang Cup in Shaoguan, Guangdong, 2007. The boat in front is from an Indonesian team.
This is the world biggest department store, situated in Busan, Korea. I'm not the biggest fan of high-end shopping but we loved going there for the food and the amazing SPA! Eat and relax and repeat! Also the movie theater is top notch!
