Camels in the Sahara. On the last day of my trip to the Sahara, our guide readied the camels early in the morning. To give the camels a rest, we all agreed on walking back to Merzouga instead of risking another bumpy ride.

Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.
Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. @itchyfeetdonica Asian Sunday entry:
As a national symbol of Cambodia, Angkor Wat is the country’s prime attraction that draws a large number of visitors all year round. It's even printed on the national flag. Despite the crowds, watching sunrise over the towers is an unforgettable experience for me. Enjoy this beautiful scene right after the sunrise!

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday week #48 - winner announcement!
@vcclothing Australian Monday entry:
This was the amazing view I got to wake up to every morning while I was staying in a air bnb in Windwhistle New Zealand. The name was fitting as this place is super windy and the wind whistles through the trees. It is also very cold.

@bluebottlefilms Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:
The moody skies of the Antarctic Peninsula are such a beautiful sight. Although overcast a lot of the time there is still so much to appreciate and the terrain is such a magnificent sight.

Kampala, the capital of Uganda, is located on the northern edge of Lake Victoria. I took this photo at the Ggaba Landing Site. This site is a center for the fishing trade in Uganda. While the photo looks calm and peaceful from this angle, right behind me was a very busy and vibrant fish and produce market!
Thank you so much for your participation and support Matt. Have a great day.
Street in Tinghir, Morocco
Getting to Todra George in Thinghir was easy thanks to the many shared Taxis waiting in the city, but going back in the evening turned out to be more challenging: Me, the German guy I met in the hostel and our local Couchsurfing friend walked back 14km into the city since the street was empty of cars or taxis!

beautiful colors !
I agree with @halinaj. Those colors are amazing.
Seem like you got a decent work out... I guess that never hurts:)....
Today’s photo is from a Namib Desert in the beautiful country Namibia named by this 43 million years old desert. The most popular tourist attraction of this desert is Deadvlei and that is also the place from where is my photo below.

Such a stunning image. Great job!
I spend some quality time with a group of adventurous friends on Table Mountain over the last weekend. Here is a photo I took at the top of an exposed and legendary climb called Ledges! Keep exploring...
Wow, those views are magnificent.
White Desert National Park, Egypt
Visiting the White Desert, near Farafra, Egypt is a surreal experience. Huge white chalk rock formations take fantastic shapes, giving you a sense that you're on another planet. When you're there it feels more like you're on the moon than in Africa!
love your ˋlandscape from Mars´ ~ 😊💛 ~
Looks like gigantic mushrooms:)
Architecture in Kairouan, Tunisia with a dramatic sky. The tower on the right is the minaret of the Great Mosque which was built with materials from as far away as Carthage. This beautiful city is considered the 4th holiest in Islam and was also the filming location for the Cairo scenes in Raiders of the Lost Ark.
That sky looks amazing!
I took this photo during my trip around Gran Canaria. And I'm lucky I didn't plan to be in place like this during the sunset :). But luckliy for me I've been.
This is a place on Gran Canaria (Artenara) where is statue of Christ a little bit similar like in Rio De Janerio :). But ofc a little bit smaller.

This is a magnificent shot.
Truly outstanding image. Well done!
Waiting for another hot day to come
Early morning at the beach of Hurghada, Egypt just near the hotel we had a vacation. Very calm and very soft colors of rising sun. Telling us that another hot day in Egypt to be expected
Enjoy it!

like a gathering of UFOs or gigantic mushrooms :))
Beautiful colors! Seems like you hardly ever sleep:)
You know, the point is that on such vacations the beach is only few hundred meters (or less) from the room. So why damn to lose such a possibility, when at home normally you have to wake up much earlier and drive to the beach, so that takes much more time :)
I got the chance to visit the most know pyramids of Egypt: Kheops, Khephren and Mykerinos. I have to say that I was a little disappointed. I was dreaming about it for a long time but once there, it was far from what I was expecting. There were no accessible tunnels, no beautiful sarcophagus, no inscription on the wall and the interior was very dark.
What a classic:).... Thank you for your entry.
Male or female?
Both male and female giraffes have horns, but the top of the horns on a male are always bald while a female's horn will be completely covered by hair. This is because males establish dominance by fighting with other males and the hair on the top of the horns gets torn off. Females don't fight, so they never lose hair on the horns.
I think this is a female.
Wow, some great info right there!

Ode to the Baobab Tree
Oh great baobab tree, home to animals, and fruit almost as big as me. You reach out big on the bottom and thin on top, leaves gone, dry season, master of the African forest.
Original photo and words by @snowyknight that is also posted on my blog.
It is here, in Douz, that the Great Eastern Erg begins with its ocher dunes of fine sand
In Douz, the fight against the sand is incessant. Normal, since it's a fight lost in advance. But the real danger is the lack of water. The oasis is a fragile environment!
Douz, vast oasis, guardian of the Grand Erg, the first dunes line the palm grove
Go! towards the great dune of Ofra, the white sands ... The Sahara extends to infinity. A sea of sand hundreds of kilometers. Be careful, in summer it is not less than 50 °! The best period to visit is between the end of October and the month of February, it is very beautiful but much less hot!
Beautiful photos
