Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

@vinceboisgard Asian Sunday entry:

This man is carrying a basket full of bricks in his head. The bricks arrived by boats and are carried to the construction site by a few men walking with these basket on their head. It takes a lot of skills to do the same. Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #31 – winner announcement!

@mibreit-photo Australian Monday entry:

Wharariki Beach near Farewell Spit in the upper north of New Zealand's South Island is a spectacular location. You have dunes, sea stacks, caves and a beautiful countryside. It's a bit of a drive up there but totally worth it. A caravan park is just 1km walking distance from the beach.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans week #31 – winner announcement!

@marc-allaria Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:

I will soon share an article on this extraordinary meeting made in Maratua Island, still in Borneo. Certainly one of the most important memories in my adventure of diver as much for the meeting with this wall of barracudas as for the very particular diving strategy in a very hectic pass exit. In the meantime I propose this photograph for the photo contest @czechglobalhosts Tuesday - Antarctica + the world's oceans.

I've posted more than a few photos from my trip to Tangier, Morocco last October but I still have some I want to share. Tangier is a port city in northwest Morocco. Along with industry and trade, tourism is a major economic contributor to this city, including seaside resorts. The great thing about Tangier is that it's surrounded by hills. The higher up you go, the better the view. Seeing the ocean from a rooftop building was one of my favorite parts of my visit!

What an awesome view!

I have seen so many travel posts from this place. I want to go there so bad. This is a great shot.

Thank you so much for your submission. Great entry!

I have posted before about the White Desert of Egypt. Not too far from that, near the Bahariya Oasis, you can find the contrasting Black Desert of Egypt with its glorious black topped golden mountains popping out of nowhere. The area owes this appearance to ancient volcanoes and the presence of abundant iron ore. I climbed to the top of one of these charcoal peaks to get this incredible view. Doesn't it look like it belongs to another planet?

That is an awesome view!

Thank you! And not another soul around.

Looks like a cool place to take it all in! Thanks for the inspiring photo!

Wow this is something else.

It really changed my perception of desert. Before this, I thought the desert was always supposed to be golden, sandy dunes.

Such a surreal landscape. Amazing shot.

Thank you! It is a surreal place indeed to witness.

That is truly beautiful! Wonderful entry.

A sunset in Sierra Leone (meaning "mountain lion"), in the Mano River, is a short coastal river on the Atlantic coast of Africa, which originates in Liberia. This is one of the touristic rivers of the region, where you can go kayaking accompanied by one of the African natives who guide you on this path.

Fabulous image! Thank you so much for your participation. Tomas

I took this photo three days ago during a sunset adventure running with my wife Riana and our trail Jack Russell called Spokie (aka Ghost). We're are super privileged to have beautiful mountains right in our backyard in Stellenbosch, South Africa.

Great to see your entry Jaco! Wonderful image.

Red canyons of Mars and the God of War pulling his hand trying to touch the Moon...

Poetic... but reality is, shot from the upper deck of river cruise ship while passing from Luxor to Aswan, Egypt. Pretty phantasmagorical overall view

Enjoy the scenery :)

Amazing capture as always.... Your pics have their authenticity, like you you have singed them:)

Hello all! The below photo is from Zambia, Kafue National Park. By midday it's getting too hot and chain of elephants start crossing the huge plains Kafue on move to a water source for drinking and cooling itself with mud and water. At night they try to keep in the bush to protect young babies from predators.

Beautiful shot.

Thanks for support!

All these safari shots are making me miss Africa! Great photo.

Thank you, you say my own words) I always miss Africa when I'm at home.

What a nice bunch!

Thank you! In fact it's not a simple thing to encounter elephants moving in such way on the open place. Much more often you may meet them in thick bush feeding on some brunches or so... or in groups by the waterhole... or if they're even moving in one direction they do it very quiet and try to cross the open areas as fast as possible splitting out for smaller groups. Hence it was great chance to spot them in this way and make a shot. I do remember that moment)

We travel one month through Tanzania and we had a safari of two days. One day we were in the Tarangire Nationalpark and on the other day in the Ngorongoro Nationalpark. We saw this awesome elephant in the Tarangire Nationalpark.

Awesome safari shot!

That is real Africa:)... Nice one. Tomas

People who go on safari in Africa always look for the big 5.
But there is so much more to see.
For example, this kudu. A kudu is an antelope. They have to rely on thickets for protection, so they are rarely seen in the open.
Their brown and striped pels help to camouflage.

Woohoo more safari shots!! Awesome photo!

Thank you so much for your submission. The winner announcement will be coming little later on so stay tuned. Tomas

On my way from the Sahara to the coast of Morocco, I took my time and I did a few stops and found myself surrounded by beautiful landscape and wonderful people! This photo is from Tinghir, a beautiful oasis framed by lush green gardens with mud-brick houses and the Atlas mountains in the background.

Sweet shot. All these photos from Morocco you have been posting have been so awesome.

Thank you so much for your participation. What a wonderful entry once again!

This is from the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania during my first day on safari. It was an incredible experience to be out on the plains of Africa and see the animals in their natural habitat. Africa is an amazing place.

wwest170623_8581.jpg

That is something I have on my list of things to do.... Real African Safari experience... it must be just amazing to be in the open and see all the beauty first hand.

baboons.jpg
Baboons on our last safari in Botswana
After some struggles at the border from Zambia to Botswana (we were late and the border was already closed) we headed to Kasane. There are tour companies all over Kasane who offer cheap game drives for about 20$. They are worth every dollar and are a wonderful experience.

now that is cool.

Great pic but to qualify for the contest you need to entry your image description of 30 to 50 words right in the comments section together with your image. Tomas

Alright, thanks for mention. I edited my post with a short description ;)

Edfu Temple by DreamStream

I took this photo at Edfu Temple in Egypt. There were several birds flying around which is appropriate as this is a temple dedicated to Horus (a God represented by the falcon). I liked the ghostly blur of this bird flying through the ancient hieroglyph covered columns.

The Great Mosque of Muhammad Ali
Although there is not much to see around, the citadel is one of the monuments to see in Cairo! It is very impressive and the view of Cairo is beautiful!
Plan a "correct" outfit ie legs and arms covered (at least 3/4) to visit the mosque (for women if you have a scarf / scarf for your hair it will be highly appreciated by locals) that tourist it remains a mosque all the same.

Hut building in East Africa. It is not easy to build a hut in the middle of nowhere. Here using mud for insulation and local trees for the walls makes for the start of a new home. The pit in front is for mixing the mud for the walls. A work in progress...

Enjoy!

If you like my photos, please upvote and follow. Enjoy the beauty and the excellent construction.
