Hello fellow Steemians,
I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.
The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.
Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.
There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @magnata:
This wall appeared in 1980 immediately after the death of John Lennon. It was created by the Czech youth in memory of the idol. Although John Lennon himself was never in Prague. Repeatedly, the city authorities tried to stop all these arts of Lennon fans, forced to wash off the drawings. The wall was not painted once. But the inscriptions appeared again and again. Fans came day and night here, and created their art. Even installed CCTV cameras did not stop anyone. Now this wall is popular. The wall is constantly changing, because everyone wants to draw something on it or write something. At us some people stood near a wall with brushes and jars of a paint. On the wall there is a portrait of John Lennon, memorable phrases, statements, excerpts from the songs of John Lennon, numerous graffiti.

Krkonoše are highest mountains of the Czech Republic. People usually visit Krkonoše in the winter time, because there is a lot of possibilities for ski. But during the spring/summer season, you can visit and enjoy the sceneries and landscape even more than in the winter. I would recommend you to visit it.
Ahoj!
That sure is an amazing place any time of the year. Your entry will make a great entrance to today's contest. Thank you. Tomas
Thank you so much!
View of the Bird Hill in the center of Opava. The gazebo on the top of it is a popular hang-out spot among local youngsters. The hill is surrounded by trees and flower gardens, making it one of the greenest and most beautiful places in the city.
Prague View from Paris Hotel
I already posted Prague view from the special tower in Paris Hotel captured during sunset. Here is another version of this view captured after sunset during blue hour when all city lights and buildings illumination are on.
Amazing shot. That sky is great.
St Vitus Cathedral is largest and most important church in the country. I always love to visit this Cathedral when i get to the Prague. The cathedral is under the ownership of the Czech government as part of the Prague Castle complex. For me personally is one of most beautiful cathedral in Czech republic.
Agreed:)....
The Slapy Reservoir is on the river Vltava near the village of Slapy in the Central Bohemia Region. The dam is 60 meters high and 260 meters long. It has 3 Kaplan turbines with a capacity of 48 MW each. Below the dam begins one of the most beautiful trails along the river Vltava at all. The trail starts in the center of Třebenice and ends in the Štěchovice village and has a green color.
Another great shot from 'horticultor excursionist' from our visit to the Chataeu Valtice. Special and most expensive wines are produced from this chamber. One of the best wineries to be visited in the south Moravia.
Since we are talking about wines and or alcohols, let me dedicate this input to my good friend @derangedvisions☺
You are making me thirsty. Awesome shot.
Come to Czech. There is a lot to quench your thirst :)
I am planning on it some time in the future. Tomas' contests have really opened my eyes to the beauty of this country.
Czech is very famous for glass and glass products, one of the world famous brands is MOSER and you can actually visit their factory and see how all the beautiful glass is made. The factory is near Karlovy Vary (also a home to Becherovka) and you can actually even try how hard is it to make the glass. You can see on the photo how my friend tried to blow the hot glass. Pretty exciting factory tour!

Such a cool photo of people doing traditional glass blowing. I have always wanted to try it and i love the finished products.
This is the castle of Krivoklat, which is about 40 kilometers west of Prague approximately. Its exterior is not as striking as other castles in this country, but what is really impressive is inside, among the highlights is the main tower, 59 meters high, where hunting trophies are displayed and panoramic views of the great natural area surrounding the castle. And also King's Hall, of enormous dimensions.
Sadly I have not been there yet but it sure is on my list of places to visit within my homeland. Thank you so much for sharing with all of us.
The Old Town Square is of course the centrepiece for the city of Prague. This beautiful square never disappoints and certainly is the hub of the city. We were there on a sunny day. Lots of differences in height. Many different types of buildings.
Charles Bridge by night
Building must if you go to Prague, you can not miss it, and it's a bit of a drawback, because if this bridge is very impressive, it is also very, very busy on weekends.
If you want to make beautiful pictures, and if you have the choice, come rather on weekdays, late at night it's even more beautiful, the atmosphere is beautiful.
Czech Paradise is place with many rocks in different shapes. The perfect destination for hiking and relaxing... and summer is coming soon :) Photo taken in 2016 during my travel around Czech Republic.
Powder Tower
This monumental entrance by which the coronation processions of Czech kings entered the Old Town is one of the most significant monuments of Late Gothic Prague. Completed in 1475, the Powder Tower, which formerly served as a gunpowder store, is still the starting point for the Coronation or Royal Route to Prague Castle.
Street One Man. As the guidebooks described, the "narrowest street" of Prague is a narrow gap in the form of a staircase between the houses, leading to the Vltava and having a traffic light in order to regulate the traffic. "The people call it" Vinarna Chertovka "or" Drunk Lane " (coming out drunk from the restaurant "Chertovka" there is nowhere to shake). This description interested me and we decided to go for a walk.
You can go like us, through the Charles Bridge (Karlův most) and take a little trip, and you can go through the Manes bridge (Mánesův most) and go almost in a straight line. Manesov is the bridge to the word at the right hand of Karlov if you stand facing the Prague Hill.
fisherman
This frame is often found on the network. The location of this place is on the tourist trail. Therefore 99 tourists out of 100 have a similar picture. And I think 90% of this amount will be found on their pictures of a fisherman! Who will answer me? Does this fisherman work there? Or does he fish for many restaurants and cafes? :-)
Thanks to the rich history of the city, visitors can admire many valuable monuments, the most important of which are on UNESCO's prestigious List of Natural Heritage - St. Basil's Basilica. Prokopa, the Jewish quarter and the Jewish cemetery.
What a wonderful place of interest. It sure deserves little more attention and I am happy to see it entering the contest from time to time. Thank you.
Czech Republic has a lot of history, also spectacular architectural places, its people are very happy and partying. Regards Tomas.
In Prague as in the majority of cities, businesses use different ways for promotion. I have seen that in Prague is quite common to put some fancy or unusual car in front of the shop, restaurant, club, etc.
In the photo it shows a classic American car, an Cadillac de Ville - second generation (1961-1964), with its characteristic tail fins. This photo was taken near the Kafka monument in Prague.
Kranner’s fountain (Krannerova kašna): At first glance it doesn’t look like a fountain at all. It’s located in Prague’s Old Town in a small park at the Smetana embankment. It’s actually about 29 meters high statue of Emperor Francis I combined with a fountain, so it’s not just fountain. Many people do not even note there is a fountain, because you can’t come closer. There is a ban on entering the lawn so you can only look at this statue from a smaller distance.
Petržilek´s Water Tower on the Lesser Town. Built 1562.
Prague was once built thanks to the Vltava River. There was a fords here. The river gave the city water. Various goods were transported across the river. Finally, the river was driving the mills.
That is svatošské skály. Very nice place by the river, even in the heat of the biggest přejemně here. Excellent walk with Karlovy Vary and Loket! Nature, river, rocks and legends about them!! a boat trip is the best here, Beautiful scenery and a relaxed stroll along the river Ohři.
nice photography, background is really amazing.upvote resteem done
The towering buildings in Prague are indeed very beautiful and charming, the architect is reliable and professional maker capable of making this building into a very beautiful building
Where-ever this image is from, it sure is not from Prague!
Czech Republic, It's one place I'd very much like to get to know better. I like Vienna greatly, but something about Prague makes me want to know that country even more.
I think that place must be great in terms of beautiful views since l see lots of steemians are posting about it.
Lovely photo and very colorful :)
The film looks great in a good environment.
This doesn´t seem to be from Prague. Can you specify the location and add the required description?
Yes, I'm having a great day but I think your day is much better! I must go that that place too so I can take pictures as well =)
As an artist, I appreciate the top abstract painting on the wall. It is awesome.
Nice tour
I want to go places too
Am really envious of you man
Prague is the equal of Paris in terms of beauty
Prague's public spaces, and the city itself offers a smorgasbord of stunning architecture, from the soaring verticals of Gothic and the exuberance of baroque to the sensual elegance of art nouveau and the chiselled cheekbones of cubist facades.
