Panoramic view of Znojmo, a beautiful historical town situated in the South Moravian region of the Czech Republic. Home to some 35,000 people, Znojmo is known for producing some of the best Czech wines but the town also boats impressive architecture dating back centuries ago. Source: Shutterstock, author: Vitaj
Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words. I will then go through your submissions and upvote those that meet the requirements. Let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.
I am really happy to see more and more great photos being submitted to this challenge every day. Yesterday was no exception, we had several awesome entries featured in the photo challenge, including this impressive purple image taken by our new contributor @dmytrokorol with the following description:
Prague Fairytale.
St. Vitus, Vltava and Charles Bridge. We have spent several great days with my wife in winter Prague. What a beautiful city! It is really hard to make two steps without shooting. This evening was especially beautiful. Blue hour, wonderful architecture, and the city lights. Just magic!
Thank you for your submissions. Have a great day and keep on Steeming!
Please feel free to check out some of my other recent posts.

Jubilee Synagogue
The Jubilee Synagogue, also known as the Jerusalem Synagogue, is unique because of it's facade which is a mixture of Art Nouveau and Moorish Revival art styles. Too bad we didn't visit it from the inside. It's located on the Jeruzalémská street.
I know the image is not symmetrical :(
Really beautiful pictures Tomas.
I have one from my last visit to Praha too.
Tried to get down from Charles bridge to enjoy some time close to the water on a hot summer day.
Yeah, not only the pics in the 7 World`s Continents Photo Challenge are getting better but also here the quality is growing.... That is really fabulous for the whole ecosystem of Steemit and for further growth. Have a good one. Tomas
Photo of the Tower of the Old Town Hall. The famous astronomical clock is housed in this tower, on the other side not visible in the image. In the photo you can see the moon on the sky on the right side of the image.
There are always a lot of birds on the banks of the Vltava River. They are absolutely not afraid of people and they are happy to come. In order to see them, it is enough to descend to the water near the Charles Bridge.
Oh, I love it!
Telč is a town in southern Moravia, near Jihlava. The town was founded in the 13th century as a royal water fort on the crossroads of busy merchant routes between Bohemia, Moravia and Austria. It is surrounded with green forests and fishponds.
On this picture we can see Telč castle viewed across one of the three fishponds.
In the second largest city in the Czech Republic you can find statue of Jost Moravsky. On the Moravian square with the St. Thomas Church awaits visitors of Brno a surprise in the form of a monumental bronze sculpture.
Worth a visit! You will be surprised how tall the statue is;)
Great entry and a contribution. Thank you so much for your support. Have a great day. Tomas
I was going through my photos and found some close up shots of the Astronomical clock. As you can see below, there are actually various figures surrounding the sides of each clock and they are all different. It may be a bit hard to see when you are on ground level but the details on these figures are just magnificant!
Great close up! Thank you for sharing. Tomas
The old phrase "Look up" is apt here. This is from walking under the towers on the Charles Bridge just before entering the Lesser Quarter. It's just more proof that the architecture in Prague is beautiful from all angles!
Here's a little shadow action on Vitus Cathedral. I live in earthquake land where everything is made of wood that can shake when shook. These stone structures that last hundreds of years have always intrigued me.
In Prague there are places of interest that you just need to visit, some will have to be all day long.
One of them is the Prague Castle, where I was twice, but I did not manage to fully inspect its territory, all for the same reason. It is a view from the observation deck on the territory of Prague Castle with a beautiful view of Prague.
Its orange roofs are a characteristic sign of this fabulously, like a magical city.
Podolská vodárna (Podolí waterworks) in Prague. Buildings are built in 1920's in the Neoclassical style, in the middle are complemented by 45 meters high water tower. The facade is decorated with carved sandstone statues represent the allegory of the Vltava River and its major tributaries.
Hmmmm, I have to visite that place one day:).....
Dancing House of Prague. Originally called Fred & Ginger after a pair of famous dancers, now remains just a nickname . The architecture of this building is so modern and has an interesting three dimensional effect. In a city full of historic architectural wonders, the dancing house strikes a unique chord.
Beautiful landscape of the Pruhonice Park with the Pruhonice Chateau in the background. The park is so large that you can easily spend the entire day just walking around it. One of the greenest and most laid-back places in Prague :) I took this shot in summer 2015 :)
Cathedral Sv. Vita Praha. You can see the castle from here because cathedrale stands there and it considers to be a part of castle complex. Most known church in Praha. I heard that somewhere near or under is hidden treasure from royalty...
Thank you for your contribution to the challenge. Tomas
This is the John Lennon Wall from November 2016. You can find it not too far from the west side of the Charles Bridge. It is always changing with people adding new pictures everyday.
From Wikipedia:
Once a normal wall, since the 1980s it has been filled with John Lennon-inspired graffiti and pieces of lyrics from Beatles' songs.
The wall continuously undergoes change and the original portrait of Lennon is long lost under layers of new paint. Even when the wall was repainted by some authorities, on the second day it was again full of poems and flowers. Today, the wall represents a symbol of global ideals such as love and peace.
Czech Republic is the best place to go skiing
I'm a skier since I was 7 yo, but when I had to teach my girlfriend how to ski, I took her to Bila in 2015 and she loved it. Now almost every winter we're going to Czech Republic. During this winter, we're planning to visit either Cerna Hora again (like last year) or Spindleruv Mlyn.
Prague's narrowest street
Prague's narrowest street was one of the funniest things I have seen on my trip to Prague, but it is a sight missed by many tourists — well, probably because it is so tiny! The street in Mala Strana is actually so narrow that it is a one-lane road for pedestrians, so don't even think of ignoring the traffic lights!
I like that one. Thank you for your capture!
I took this picture of a beer in a great bar in Holisovice (Prague 7) in front of the Stromovka Park.
If you want a place without tourists, go there. I only met Czech people from the district! And it's open everyday from 4p.m. to 4a.m. The name of the bar is Stromoffka bar.
And last but not least: you can enjoy a good Pilsner Urquell for only 42 czk!
Cheers;)
Чехия - необычная страна.
A selfie from my favorite saint place in Prague:))) This Cathedral is so huge that i could take photos there the whole day! 😱😱😱😱 It is beautiful externally and internally, from all sides and angles! Seeing this miracle at least once you will never forget this fantastic cathedral!
Nice selfie:)... but please follow the guidelines by adding a minimum 30 word description to your image to get a decent upvote... Have a good one. Tomas
Ohhh sorry, i just edited my mistake:))
Tomas thats so lovely click !!! 😍

Winding down the hill after climbing Petrin Tower, you'll find this little gem. Long exposure, again, taken with my Sony rx100 m3. The more I post these pictures, the more I want to revisit Prague with a better camera. I swear they came to this city when they decided to create settings for fairy tales. It's almost like you can just pluck it out of a book and make it come to life.
thats so lovely click !
Parable With Skull by Jaroslov Rona, is a favorite of mine. Found within Prague Castle. While technically tells the tale of a beggar dying on a doorstep, I think that this represents the weight of death upon man, affecting our daily lives.
I like my daily shot of beautiful pictures, keep them coming! ;-)
wow amazing clicks. prague is on my travelling list

Indeed
Wow it's a beautiful landscape photo. They deserve an award. Their shooting abilities are amazing. I have not been able to enter this contest because I only play in macro lens. But I really enjoy the beauty of your post. A very worthwhile place to visit. Thank you for reading this simple comment from me. Good luck always for you @czechglobalhosts.
We do not have the longest ski slopes in the Czech Republic, but we love the traditions. One of them is the end of the season with snow bar and grilling sausages on the top of the hill. Skresort Buková hora, Orlické hory.
