Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great weekend!:) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @kindley:

I love when nature creates something beautiful but sometimes even the help from people can create something extraordinary. This is an artifically created quarry just few minutes from the centre of Mikulov. This picture was taken in the summer, as you can see below, where all the rocks are, people sometimes like to create messages of love, like little hearts or first letters of two lovers :) Unfortunately you can only see it in the right corner and just a fraction of it. Guess you'll have to come and see it for yourself :)

I rewarded @kindley winning entry with some extra upvote. Feel free to visit his blog and check out some of his other photos.

Thank you for your submissions. Have a great day and keep on Steeming!

I was looking for a photo to use in another contest and ran across this one that I edited into black and white. For the other contest, the focus is on the sky, but I'm also posting here because I love the architecture that frames the sky. I've often said I'm a huge fan of Prague architecture and I think this photo explains why!

I was living in Prague for 4 months as Erasmus exchange student and let me tell you, this was the best decision I made in my life so far! :) My advice to everyone is to visit Prague for more than just a few days and try to visit other places than the most common tourist one :) Because there is so much more to see.
This photo was made with my phone Nexus 5X in March of 2017 and it is not edited.

Great image and story to be featured in today´s edition! Tomas

Thank you so much! :)

The Průhonice Park and Castle is one of the largest landscaped parks in Europe, with an area of 240 hectares, located in the valley of a river, just a few kilometers from Prague. The park is on a UNESCO World Heritage List.

St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague is clearly visible from the Vltava Embankment and the Bridge of the Bridge. This photo was taken from the Charles Bridge in the summer of 2017, I visited Prague for the first time and for me it was a majestic view.

Interior of the magnificent St. Vitus Cathedral located at the Prague Castle. This nave shows the typical elements of the late Gothic period, such as the bell shaped columns and the ribs of the vaults cross each other giving a net like effect. The windows are very interesting and beautiful with their vivid coloured glass.

Great to get a pic submitted from the inside of the Cathedral! I mainly get the pics from the outside entered into the challenge.

Close-up front view of the futuristic sculpture known as the Head of Franz Kafka created by famous Czech artist David Cerny. Installed outside the Quadrio shopping centre in Prague, the kinetic sculpture (yes, it moves!) is 11 metres tall and made of 42 rotating panels.

The Cathedral of St. Vitus is one of the most famous tourist attractions of Prague and all of Czech Republic. There is much is known about this cathedral and still remains beyond the line of public information, but despite this, this cathedral remains beautiful at any time of the year and at any time of the day. That's why I suggest you enjoy today the view of this wonderful cathedral!

I'm back from holiday so can participate in your comps again! Here is a photo of a building at the Pragues old town. I absolutely love the print on the building and lets me imagine how the town looked like back in the old times. I don't understand the words but the colours used suited the building and just stood out so we took a photo of it.

You are back with a great pic:)! Hope you had a good time.

thanks Tomas great to be back (minus all the washing up haha)

Another one of my “geocaching phase” photos. This castle is situated in Znojmo, Moravia. It was built around 1080. I did not go inside (I did not have time for it back then because I had to find as many caches as I could :D, I used to be crazy, I know) but it is in my to do list :))

First of all, thank you so much for choosing me :) Today I decided to share this beautiful church in Prague as todays entry. Taken on phone, but I think it still looks great! I especially like the color of the sky with the white color building and that special little cloud that looks like a falling star :)

This is a picture of Leopold Gate, the entrance into Vyšehrad a historic fort located in the city of Prague, Czech Republic. It was built, probably in the 10th century, on a hill over the Vltava River. Situated within the castle is the Basilica of St Peter and St Paul, as well as the Vyšehrad Cemetery, containing the remains of many famous people from Czech history, among them Antonín Dvořák, Bedřich Smetana, Karel Čapek, and Alphonse Mucha. - Wikipedia

I aboslutely love Vysehrad! One of the places I like the most in Prague. Nice one!

My today's contribution is from my favorite castle located in northern Bohemia - Castle Frydlant. The chateau is full of history and it is connected with a prominent figure of Czech commander Albrecht of Valdštejn. For me, two armory are the most interesting, but only one of them is open to the public. In the other, there is a 11th-century sword.

Great! Thank you for posting that, I have to make my way over there at some point:)....

Chapel of Our Mother God is located near Veveri castle (300 meters from the castle), 10 km from Brno. It is kind of a sad place. It looks so lonely. Like a cemetery. In fact, it is cemetery, or at least used to be (according to the information on the internet). I will go there again in the spring and take more, hopefully more cheerful, photos ;-)

When you are in Prague, always look at the buildings around you in detail! You will find that some buildings have so much details in the architecture and lot of decorations, especially on the older buildings. For example this is detail of a building at the Old Town Square. Do you like it? It's very beautiful!

I see that other person is also sharing this building today! Indeed quite a noticable building.

The embankment is always one of the best places in the city. It's always beautiful and fun. Water creates a certain center of gravity. In addition, if you look at history - the city was built by the water. Therefore, the historical part of the city is always closer to the water. Well, I just like to go out there. Watch the birds. And catch the reflection of the city on the water.
Prague view

Yep, absolutely spot on! A great place to hang out.

The city of Prague is ideal in terms of tourist orientation!
To get lost to you no one will allow, at least in the center of the city!))) Information signs and pointers at every corner! Tourists and guides roam the crowds! And on the waterfront you can see another unusual thing - a giant chair.
Unusual modernity in old Prague.

Let's save the forests, we all need them, regardless where we are on this planet :)

You can see beautiful buildings on the road in Prague. The streets of the city are like a work of art. I only stayed a week in Prague. I walked an average of 15 km a day. Because it is impossible to not walk through these beautiful streets. The beauty of the buildings on the road is dazzling. A city that really has to be visited for an architect.

IMG-20161029-WA0013.jpg

I want to share a photo I took with you on the street. I had a girlfriend when I took this photo. She told me how beautiful this city is. Yeah ! She's right! Because this city is very romantic. You can enjoy walking with your girlfriend on the streets easily. The place is very safe and the people are very respectful

For today´s entry I decided to show you a different view of Václavské námestí which is the biggest city square in Prague and it´s famous for nightlife and many beautiful National Museum buildings. Václavské námestí is the „entrance gate“ to beautiful Prague. It´s a very pleasant place for tourist. Just come and see the beauty that Václavské námestí offers to you.

The Estates Theatre, or Stavovské Divadlo is where Mozart conducted the world premiere of his opera Don Giovanni. Unfortunately it was not on the program while I was visiting, however Die Zauberflöte was playing. It was moving to think that the Maestro himself had breathed the same air I was now breathing, and with a little imagination I could see him receive the ovation of an appreciative public. Apparently he completed the score the day before the performance, so next time I complete a project last minute, I won’t feel so bad, I am just walking in the footsteps of a genius ;-)
Among other notable musicians that performed in this beautiful space we can count Carl Maria von Weber, Anton Rubinstein, Gustav Mahler and violin virtuoso Niccolò Paganini.

This photo is over the Charles Bridge. It has an excellant view. You can see everything on the bridge. Live music, marriage proposal, magic show..

Snapchat-1042160047.jpg

It is the most famous bridge in the city built in 1357 in Prague. The building, which is one of the symbols of Prague, is at the forefront of the list of places to visit in Prague. The bridge connects Prague Castle and Mala Strana with Stare Mesto.

Prague/Czech Republic Is really a Beautiful place, I'll visit it someday and will meet you one of the most rewarding person here on steemit.
