Hyderabad is one of the most rapidly developing cities in India. Here is my take on it!
From the outside, it may look like just another metro city, with its traffic soaring at peak hours and its streets busy with people who are eager to get to their workplace
But if you look closely, it’s beyond all that
Also known as the city of pearls, Hyderabad is extremely rich in its cultural heritage And is much more than Charminar and biryani.
Ruled by nizams until 1948, this princely state was once home to artists and poets from all over the world. This diversity has shown its immense effect and the culture of Hyderabad is a perfect amalgamation of Different Religions.
Due to this diversity, This city is home to amazing food. The cuisine here is highly influenced by Mughlai, Arabic, Iranian and native Telugu cuisines. With biryani being the city’s famous offerings.
Due to the cultural diversity, it’s not the cuisine where the matter ends, Hyderabad is the perfect link between the north and the south india, absorbing the best of both worlds in its culture, cuisine, and character.
But this diversity has also welcomed problems which shook the city to its core. Hate speeches, communal riots are only the peak of the issues the city has faced.
In 2010, over the dispute for independent Telangana, Hyderabad took a major hit. An array of riots and bandhs caused havoc. The schools were shut, major companies started to move their offices to Bangalore. With offices shut and the streets locked, people were in total despair.
Fortunately, it was all put to an end when SC ruled in favor of a separate state - Telangana and made Hyderabad as the joint capital of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
The streets were crowded once more and the city started progressing towards the future.
In 2015, Hyderabad was ranked the second best city to live in India by the traveler magazine. And it was only possible because of the positivity every citizen of this city radiates.
I surely recommend every one of you to come here for a week and explore this gem of a city.
