Japanes Airline "Peach" will accept Bitcoins for bookings...would you?

in #travel8 years ago (edited)

The japanese airline "peach Aviation Ltd." becomes first asian airline to accept bitcoin as a payment method.

CEO Shinichi Inoue said to the press on monday:

“We want to encourage visitors from overseas and the revitalization of Japan’s regions,, This is a real first step in partnerships for Japan and we are aiming for more company and service tie-ups."

Peach isn't the first airline to take this step. In the last Years a small amount of airlines and Flight-offering-website joined the cryptocurrency game.

Would you buy a ticket with Bitcoin?! Or did you already booked a flight with Bitcoins? Would love to hear some stories... looking for testimonials for our new website ;)

I've never purchased a ticket using bitcoins but I would consider it. A few travel website currently accepts bitcoin an so does Amazon through purse.io.
