Well, we made it!

It seems like we've been preparing for this move for a long, long time.

From an idea to reality.

And now that we are here, it feels like... we've never been away?

We left Brisbane in April after 2.5 years of living there and then spent 5 weeks in Wellington while we waited for @stickycj 's visa to come through. Once he got approved, yay, we booked our flights and made the long journey home. Travelling across the world is no small feat. Our journey went as follows:

3 hour flight Wellington - Sydney
9 hour flight Sydney - Bangkok
7 hour flight Bangkok - Dubai
6 hour flight Bangkok - London
Hotel in London
6.5 hour coach journey London- Newquay a.k.a HOME!

And that doesn't include the stop over times! It'll be a while before we want to do that trip again.

What now?

Well, so far we've spent our time with family. We had a nephew born two days after our arrival, amazing timing! We've been for walks around the beautiful Cornish coastline and admired the views. Now we are over our jetlag we are ready for mini adventures around the U.K! I definitely want to share our adventures to the Steemit community, where we go and what we get up to! To say I'm from the U.K I really haven't seen much of it. You always seem to go as far from home as possible when you travel! So, do you have any recommendations of places to visit around the U.K? We are looking for places drenched in history and scattered with walking trails. Or maybe a really cool City? We are pretty open to ideas!

Nothing better than the feeling of arriving after so many hours travelling!

That is a long journey. I have done that trip many times but never had to look forward to the 6 hour bus to Cornwall.

There are loads of places to visit in the UK. Orkney Islands way up top I recommend in the warmer months. Not too far is Cardiff is a really interesting city. Liverpool I love. Snowdonia and Nth Wales region for the scenery and castles. I could go on and on. Surely you have been to St Micheal's Mount down near Penzance?

Yes I've been to St Micheal's Mount! I've done a lot around Cornwall and haven't really ventured further unless it was to an airport. Orkney Islands sound great, we are hoping to head North during Summer. Thanks for the recommendations!
