Hello friends, I continue with my project to make known the innumerable and beautiful tourist sites of Venezuela, in this publication I offer you a summary of the El Guácharo National Park, which is located in the Monagas State in Venezuela, in this Park there is a cavern or cave (as we Venezuelans call it) its name comes from its inhabitants that are nocturnal birds called Guacharos which only come out in the night to eat fruits of several palms.

This cave was visited by Alejandro de Humboldt more than 300 years ago, and it is he who makes the first scientific description of the guácharo.
In this cave there are a lot of stalactites (rock formations due to the accumulation of calcium carbonate) from the ceiling to the ground and a large amount of stalagmites (rock formations due to the accumulation of calcium carbonate) from the floor to the ceiling, very beautiful. Like most caves, it's mysterious.

Apart from this cave, you can find other caverns, waterfalls and canyons no less beautiful and attractive, it also has the birth of really impressive rivers and streams. The access is very easy by land which are in good condition and the inhabitants of the sector offer visitors local gastronomy and lodging in hotels and inns and guide to enter this cave.
