The Terrible Travellers: Hike through Siberia

in #travel7 years ago

This post will be dedicated to our hike through the national park in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia. The scenery was just too good to not stop and take pictures all the time. We have selected some of the best for you guys and we hope you like them. If you do, you know what to do.....share the love!

This was an overview of the stolbys, which are naturally occurring volcanic rock formations. Apparently no one really knows why they have occurred here, but I'm sure a geologist could shed some light on things.

There was a chairlift up to the top of the park which we obviously took, it was worth it though.

Then we started along the path. Here are some action shots.

The rock formations were amazing and very different.

The trail itself was also very beautiful and tranquil.

And as a little bonus at the end of the trail we saw some chipmunks, we had never seen these before so it was great.

Just some extra stolby photos to finish.

Cool, this is a difficult trip, admire your courage. Follow you.

Thank you! We will return the gesture. It's actually been surprisingly easy considering we only know basic Russian phrases. The people are unbelievably kind.

Looked like a epic hike, possibly some awesome snowboarding too in the winter?

It was thanks, yeah the horizon of trees seemed to go on forever. But where the chairlift was there were a few good slopes which I can imagine would be awesome in winter.

Thank you @hectorjoachim! I will definitely take a look. We are at a place with very primitive Internet at the moment, but I would love to give my opinion on your blog when we return to 'normality'. And hopefully we receive such constructive feedback on our next post!

Thank you very much @cameron-walker, this is so, we continue reading, a hug for you, regards!
