So I decided to make a two hour trip from Miami to West Palm Beach to take a trip and see what the Lion Country Safari was all about.
Its a drive through safari, where the animals are roaming free. I would not recommend taking a nice car just in case one animal is not having that great of a day. (Convertibles are not allowed)
It was founded in 1967 and is the first cageless zoo in the United States. It is a great alternative for those who cannot afford to travel to another country where this is much more common.

After the drive through was over, you have the option to get off and feed some of the animals.
Overall this was an amazing experience. I was able to encounter some animals I have never seen before and animals that are not native to the US. Hope you enjoyed!
