Everything happens for the reason I'd like to share my opinion about Korea/America issue? As an American I just hope we can avoid massive loss of life and maintain peace with a China and southeast Asia/Japan. Just hope we work with China primarily and let them at least give us the authority to or they lead an overthrow of North Korea's corrupt dictatorship.
I don't think we are doing anything wrong from Obama's "passive"approach to Trump's more hardline rhetoric, North Korea is going to do whatever in the world Kim needs to do to keep power and his only plays are by keeping 20+ million of "his" people hostage which is largely to keep China in check as they do not want millions of refugees on and crossing their border.
Keeping Seoul under direct threat of artillery fire, which is kinda a "gun-to-the head" hostage situation targeted towards the West/America and to just humanity at large as Seoul is the 4th most populated city in the world and any attack on Seuol would lead immediately to an escalation of war and most likely complete destruction of North Korea's infrastructure and government officials and massive loss of civilian life.
And threatening nuclear war and investing heavily into military and weapon technology. Also the threat of trading nuclear material to terrorists is of major concern for the rest of the world as well. The closer he gets to being a nuclear power the "safer" the North Korean government and also from an economic sense. @slowwalker
