Well, Uganda has for decades been known for only negative things. It is not only known for having been ruled by one of the world’s worst dictators but also known for hosting another currently. There have been cases of nepotism, unexplained murders here and there and all the selfish reforms that the parliament passed.
Uganda and the word bad are almost synonyms.
However, Uganda as a country is not as bad as the media makes it look. It possesses some of the ideals that some countries in Africa and all over the world wished they possessed. Let me split this down, Uganda’s wild life, natural land forms and water have earned it billions of dollars throughout many decades. Some of the photos I have posted give a fascinating insight into Uganda’s tourism. You can visit Queen Elizabeth national park with indomitable flora and fauna, Murchison falls park, enjoy the artsy air and savor every moment of your holiday. The source of the Nile, the longest river is still found in the same black mailed country that proves that every cloud has a silver lining. Sincerely everything is never as it seems.

Uganda is not only gifted with the world’s best long distance runners but also some of the world’s best artists. They may not be as good as Da Vinci or Michelangelo but they are among the best. The beauty of Uganda’s flora and fauna has inspired many artists to point and come up with very expensive masterpieces. I have been fascinated with the art work in some of the art galleries in Uganda and I surely confess; we have some of the best.

Uganda has been under represented when it comes to international kitchens. Of course the French cuisine and the Italian kitchen were dominant everybody knows that. But lately, Uganda has uniquely shown its creativity, to the dismay of many African countries y coming up with typically Ugandan delicacy: Rolex. Rolex may mean a watch in Switzerland and may mean something else in Italy but in Uganda Rolex means a flattened and deep fried wheat dough traditionally known as “Chapati” rolled together with fried eggs. The time of its discovery or invention is uncertain, but one thing is sure; Rolex is typically Ugandan and tastes better than the French ratatouille. Uganda is indeed not as bad as the world looks at it.
Yummy food makes me hungry.
