I studied abroad there during school and it was amazing. So much history and culture everywhere. I might do a couple of posts on Steemit about my journey. Let me know if you have any questions about where to go and what to see. Enjoy your travels!
Rome is such an awesome place to visit because of all the ancient history that is present. A city of layers it is, with buildings being built upon the ruins of other buildings. Quite a parallel with how our modern forms of communication were built upon the past.
I can't help but think of skyrim when i visit these ruins. A lot of these ruins and concepts are interwoven into fantasy games, the concept of a greater civilization that was in the world, but their technology and buildings got destroyed when it collapsed.
