We made it to our second leg of the trip in Lake Atitlan. We had a windy 3 hour drive. Thankfully I took my gravel to hold me down!
Welcome to Lake Atitlan
Panajachel is the main city around Lake Atitlan which we are staying. Each city is slightly different but all with Mayan communities.
Panajachel is definitely different from Antigua. It is more of a village here than city. It gives you a much different perspective and appreciation for the Mayan people, as well as your own life.
We can tell why anyone would live here on the Lake. With the unlimited amount of fresh water source plus the stunning surrounding beauty, it is a great place to stay.
I will do my best to post as much as possible while here but the wifi is a bit unstable at times plus I haven’t had much time.
When I get back I’ll make sure to create the best posts with anything I missed.
Have a great day!

@bitdollar That water looks so fresh! Hows the temperance in the water there?
Earth, water and sky and of course you absorbing it all in the same shot...brilliant. The village setting must be so relaxing and welcoming.
Gravol is the best invention next to toilet paper. I did a post thinking about you and your partner in crime in mind.
Guatemala seems to be an amazing destination from all of your recent updates. Just curious @bitdollar, what was your budget for the trip and how long did you plan to stay there?
Have a great relaxing time!
