Some days back, I went to Qutab Minar, the second highest brick minaret in World. It was an awesome experience, never seen any structure so tall, with scriptures on it. The stone of which it was made of, it was an awesome experience. Just wanted to share some photos of it.
Qutab Minar was constructed by Qutb Al-Din Aibak. In 1220, Aibak's son-in-law Iltutmish added three storeys to the tower. In 1339, lightining struck on it, due to which its three storey was damaged. After that Firoz shah Tughlaq, carried out the construction work, replacing the damaged storey with 3 new storey.
If u want to visit Qutab Minar, then you can come to Saket Metro Station, and from there you can take an auto-rickshaw, and it, will hardly take 15-20 min and around 50Rs to reach Qutab Minar.
It was an awesome experience, with beautiful weather. If anyone is in Delhi, India, then he or she must visit Qutab Minar. There is also partially constructed tower just like Qutab Minar, which is not fully constructed, only its foundation has been laid. It was supposed to be bigger than Qutab Minar, after full construction.
Stay tuned, I will share my experience of some more marvellous monuments.
