After driving almost 12 hours from Manila to Pagudpud, we were quite lucky to book a hotel that is in front of a Beach. The Saud Beach is already a tourist destination so our tired as**s took its break while enjoying this magnificent view.
It was still very early when we got there so we had the beach all by ourselves.
For some strange reason, the sea creatures are not afraid of humans so I was able to meet and get a picture of this baby crab. (Isn't it cute???)
After our well deserved rest, we immediately went to Bangui Wind Farm. It is located in Bangui Bay where the wind turbines are arranged in a single row in a nine-kilometer shoreline. The wind turbines help in producing power for the whole province, if my source is right, it contributes to nearly 40% of the provinces' electrical power.
It does not only give power but it also became a tourist attraction because it is such an eye feast to see the wind turbines lined up in a shoreline. This is the view from the transient house we discovered while strolling in the shoreline. We immediately decided to transfer here from the recent hotel because we wanted to spend the night with the wind turbines (I know, my friends are weird that way).
This is the transient house, until now I am still dreaming of going back to this house to stay there... maybe forever.
On our way to our next destination, we had to drive to this coastal bridge which is the fourth longest bridge in our country. This 1.3 kilometer bridge is called Patapat Viaduct, it is one the most scenic and most photographed destination in Ilocos.
Our next stop was in the Bantay Abot Cave which means "a mountain with a hole" , this place has beautiful rock formations and is located in the shore of the small town of Baloi.
Our last stop is in a falls that I-don't-know-the-name, but we enjoyed the water and it looks magical. On our way to the falls.
My favorite falls in the whole wide universe!!!
Our journey in Ilocos did not stop here. After spending a few days in Pagudpud, we headed to the historical place of Vigan but I will share that experience in my next post, so stay tuned :)
The dates on the pictures show that this trip happened four years ago but it seems like it was only yesterday and I thought that it will be selfish for me not to share this experience to the world. Thank you for taking time to read.
Here's a jump shot from me and my friends for our Steemit success. :)
