San Diego Birthday Brewery Bash

Tomorrow will be my second annual San Diego Birthday Brewery Bash and I wanted to share my photos from last years celebration.

That is me at the hotel right after check in - can't wipe that smile off my face!

First stop was at Alesmith - they have been brewing amazing beers for quite sometime now but most of their barrel aged beers that I love are not so easy to locate in Los Angeles.

Enjoying a flight by the fire pit at Alesmith - Vietnamese Coffee Speedway Stout, Barrel aged Nut Brown Ale, Barrel Aged Old Numbskull Barleywine and Wee Heavy - all delicious!

A speakeasy style back room inside Alesmith specifically for barrel aged beer fans like me = heaven on earth!

Anvil and Stave - I could live and die here! All barrel aged beers from many vintages!

Oh yeah - Modern Times Brewery has their own coffee shop inside with incredible espresso drink creations - they roast their own beans as well I believe.

Definitely enjoying that coffee to recharge before more beer!

Modern times is fairly new on the scene but they are kicking ass! Their beer is available in many states on the west coast now and their barrel aged beer program is spectacular!

This was my flight at modern times but I'm not sure what I had at this point - a little too buzzed to care haha!

Stopped at the waffle spot the following morning before hitting the road - great food and the mascot made me forget how hungover I was.

Cannot wait to do it all over again tomorrow!
