I visited this peninsula last week...Noirmoutier in Vendée, West France
This is one of the beach there, la plage de Clère and it was low tide, which is my favourite moment of change of scenery
Indeed, I'm very used to be nearby waters
as I live near a big beautiful lake, but tides...hey !
...this is so unusual for me and something full of wonder,
I was in awe with the naked rocks, denuded by the water but clothed with shells and algae.. pure #magicalmoments !
Luigi was part of the enjoyment of course !
... a well deserved holiday for a so active andcurious about everything garden gnome
This is so relaxing to just enjoy the view and listen to the cries of seagulls,
while breathing marine iodized air... Oooh the Happiness ... and the #BeautifulDay for sure ! =))

Oh no, this is west France, in Vendée (I should have written it, ...will edit my post ;-) )
In south France it's the sea, the Mediterrannée, and there are no tides like with the ocean...I love ocean, but I rather prefer to go to Brittany than Vendée, but this is just side by side on the west coast
I went once to Brittany....one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen!!
Yes Brittany makes my heart sings...literally ! if not in Annecy, I would live there for sure😍😍
Oh, mais là tu nous présentes la beauté, Barbara! Je reviens tout juste de là-bas - sur google - 😃. Et oui, ton post m'a donnée envie de m'y rendre et j'ai déjà fait des recherches et vu qu'il y a des emplacements camping car en abondance. J'aime tellement ces plages un peu plus 'sauvages' de l'Atlantique.

Haha ! c'est chouette ça ! ;-) Mais à ta place j'irais plutôt en Bretagne...en tout cas si tu vas en Vendée, prévois de passer une bonne partie en Bretagne juste à côté, tu ne le regretteras pas !!
Merci beaucoup pour cette information supplémentaire! Je vais prévoir ça. De toute façon en camping car, on fait plusieurs arrêts, alors pourquoi ne pas visiter la Bretagne aussi, une fois qu'on est là-bas. 😀
la bretagne est une terre de legendes, moi je me sens extrêmement bien là bas, si je nhabitais pas Annecy jhabiterais là bas c'est sûr 😄

I love the ocean, with the ebb and flow of the tides. I grew up in a seaside town in Connecticut and never tire of the sound of the waves, beating their repetitive rhythm!

There is a beach "Praia da Vieira" that is well known by many Frenchs during Summer and that usually have that iodized air. Is one of my youth beaches, so it brings me good memories :)
Delightful shots! They bring back memories for me of camping at Les Sables-d'Olonne in 1963 with a French friend!!
oh yes ? I have some shots of les sables d'olonne, not the beach but the streets that have painting in seashells 😉 will make a post one day with them 😊
