Travelling through Australia gave us so many amazing stories to share. We saw Tasmanian devils, wallaby and baby, koalas, wombats, quokkas,... all in real life!
Still one of the best experiences we had was when we went snorkelling with Sealions!
When we were travelling down the west coast of Australia, we arrived in Jurien Bay. This quite, non-backpacker, the town which is mostly a tourist area from campers from Western Australia itself. We were pretty much the only backpackers and it was low season so in the evening we had the whole beach to ourselves to enjoy the sunsets. Like the picture down here!
We wanted to swim with sea lions so we saw it was possible here in Jurian Bay. Well apparently the companies here are not allowed to let people in the water with the sea lions! Such a bummer. Then we found Seas Lion Charters up in Green Head which lets you swim with sea lions as long as you cohere to some important rules! Never approach them, let them approach you, do NOT touch them or feed them and have a good time!
Sea lions are amazing, they are literally the dogs of the ocean! They mirror you so if you start swimming in circles, they will do the same. Once and a while they will blow bubbles with an arrogant face. It is so funny to see!
All by all this is definitely one of the more wonderful experiences we had! Check out our Blog for the full video or go to our Instagram page for more travel photos of Australia, Bali and Europe!

Awesome underwater pictures! We got to swim with manatees in Florida last spring but it was super crowded and the water was not very clear. The rules were the same as you describe but other than that what you experienced looks a lot better.
wow swimming with manatees must be amazing to! I think every experience with wild animals has those rules. You have to respect the animal!
